Yeah that's VERY good to hear. Another confirmation. I believe this console will be a run away success. They just have to price it right. If that's done then I can't say it will sell as much as the Wii but I think it can win the next gen. I'm so EXCITED!

Well as long as he isnt trolling I am fine with it. I am glad to see this especially after all that "Not as powerful as current gen" crap we have been hearing.

Nicalis makes app store games so I understand. They can produce amazing graphics, but they won't because they make 2D 8-16 bit graphical games.

No not really.
Technically it does, the Xbox 360 got outdated in 2010, and the Wii's power was outdated when it released, so since the Wii U can last 5 years and not be outdated it will be good.

Not to take anything away from Nicalis. I love the games they make (Cave Story), but they've really only made "simple" fun games. They really don't focus on robust, HD, system resource-hungry games.
So it isn't saying much when they call the Wii U a powerhouse.
I believe the Wii U will be strong, but this isn't much of a confirmation.
I do however, look forward to what Nicalis comes up with.

yh ofcourse the wii u is. not just because of this quote, i mean cos every other company has said it, no one really needs any more confirmation of this. this whole "is it powerful or not" talk needs to be put to rest. EA confirmed it, EPIC confirmed it, Vigil confirmed it. that is more than enough confirmation
