I wouldn't doubt it, to be honest. The project was never completely canceled, it was just...shoved off.

It looked like a really cool game and it would be pretty fun to squash things while using the Wii motion plus.

even though i dont know how the controller will be used for it im defiantly expecting it to come to the wii u. like gamecollector said it wasnt cancelled so im sure nintendo is still looking into ways of how to bring it to wii u.

Yeah the thing people fail to realize is the Wii just didn't have the specs for hardcore games from 1st party. With the gamecube it was fairly powerful that gen so they could get away with it. Nintendo knows what they are doing. If it does comes to the Wii U it will jump as maybe my second favorite 1st party title. Never played a pikmin game. So whatever retro has In the works then this.

Do we know which nintendo studio was developing this title for the Wii?

I was looking forward to this game back when the Wii was abut to come out, but I seriously doubt this rumor. The link tracks back to a weebly page. Seriously. Weebly. Myth=busted.

Nintendo software technology was the developer behind it, with that being said my expectations are really high even if it is just a beat em up.

If this game really is released, there had better be some major changes,
cause that gameplay vid looked like I'd be mad after spending $50-$60+ on it.

I've got the entire E3 2006 demo level on DVD.

Anyway, it was definitely cancelled, I would never believe someone's wishful thinking in a blog.

When I see a button masher from Nintendo, I see a more God of War like game. Maybe this is nintendo's answer to that? The project looks interesting.
