Yes people with a brain. But Sony Drones and 360 fanboys were so sure their would be lol.

Didn't anyone get the memo that no console was going to be shown in the first place?

Yes to the normal person. But Fanboys, Drones, and Trolls will refuse to believe facts lol.

Generally, whenever a company says something won't happen, it won't happen. I thought this was rather well known knowledge?

Actually companies that dont always tell the public everything. To confirm they are working on a console and that its comibg out next year is a bad thing. But anyway, I didnt expect MS to do that. I do think Sony might, but I could be wrong.

I am confused on this smart glass thing. Ill have to watch the conference I guess.

Ha! The XBOX Conference was a joke! Halo 4, Splinter Cell and that Lara Croft game all looked like the same game and same environments but with different weapons. -_-

XBOX Smart Glass is no killer of the Wii U. It might be used quite often for media and some such but for gaming it'll go the way of Kinetic and be pretty much useless. Developers will have to decide whether they are going to make their game compatible with Kinect, voice command, tablet, controllers or all of the above and this might make for a more confusing game and game development process.

"Now that I've checked out these stats on my tablet, I've got to put that down and pick up the game controller. Wait a minute. How do you unpause this? Oh yeah! "XBOX. Unpause!" Gah! That didn't work. Lemme try waving my arm around. Hey! That did it! Ha! Too bad for those poor saps playing their Wii U with its one main controller interface that it was specifically developed for and next gen graphics." :P

Even Peter Monyneux, creator of the Fable series, said in an interview on Spike right after the XBOX conference that: "I don't want choice, I just want solutions."

And speaking of Kinetic, did you all see that awesome demonstration? Me neither. There was nothing awesome about it. It was amusing to see the lady flopping her arms around while the entire time she was thinking to herself: 'they don't pay me enough to do this crap'.

Then there was no mention whatsoever of a possible Next XBOX 8 720. Guess Nintendo caught em off guard with their announcement. I expect the same hush hush on a new console from Sony's conference.

Can't wait for Nintendo's conference tomorrow. Even if it's bad, there's no way it can be XBOX conference bad.

LOL its actually sad how it sucked... WOW i cant believe Microsoft screwed themselves that much...

The Usher performance was obviously the highlight of the conference.

At least last year's microsoft conference was bad in a funny way, this one was pretty boring. Lara Croft was the only interesting title to me, but I'm not into first person shooters, which there were a lot of at that conference. I'm pretty sure that they will annouce Project Durango next year, and Sony will likely do the same with Project Orbis. While I wasn't expecting the Xbox conference to mention anything about the next gen console, I did have higher hopes for the conference overall. Oh well.

LOL its actually sad how it sucked... WOW i cant believe Microsoft screwed themselves that much...

Funny thing is they didn't screw themselves. The anti trust suits that were put onto Microsoft are now over, this prevented them from bringing all their services together since it would have been a major monoply. This suit lead them to put movie maker, messenger etc as seperate programs from the core windows install. It prevented them from getting big with Zune (The service does not suck, it's people's ideology of the name Zune makes them think it sucks).

Now that the suit is expired, they can now tie these services together, that's been Microsoft's aim, so it pretty much is a win win scenario for them.

Simultaneous Computex is occuring and laptop manufacturers are showing some stellar tabtops, tablets and touchscreen ultrabooks in 11 and 13 inch form factors with 1920 X 1080 resolution screens all running windows 8.

Anyone buying a laptop this winter will practically have a tablet, you will be buying into the microsoft ecosystem, it's the trojan horse and it's honestly a good marketing scheme. It's lik buying TVs, if you want a high end LED tV (£600+) it's going to be 3D whether or not you want it to be, same thing with computers this winter.

The Xbox media apps, is the same old Zune service (that I've been loving since I've been given a free 6 months Zune pass) just renamed to Xbox Music. They needed they're music service to be more competitive with iTunes and rebranding it to Xbox was the only way to present it as something new.

So Microsoft is pretty much happy, they got their message out and this is all just against Apple, Xbox is their product against Apple TV and iTunes, Windows 8 and Windows Phone is their competition against Android and iOS.

It's a great ecosystem, it's not for me but it's a very solid package of services. So anyone saying Microsoft screwed themselves, they really didn't. Remember MS is more than just games, that's something people tend to forget.

In other news Last of Us and Beyond, those were amazing, and so was Lara Croft, finally more games that about immersiveness and that tell a story.

Sony so far has the better briefing. We're gamers and we care about games.

Dare I say it but its too soon to announce the next Xbox or Playstation. They really need to announce it just before the wii U becomes available and like most of us they don't have the full picture of the wii U yet anyway. Once Microsoft and Sony have digested all the info on the wii U they will then work out how to attack it and damage its launch. I'm guessing post E3 is when they start making their plans.

Lets say the wii U is about to launch in November and at that time Microsoft announce a console 3x as powerful for the same money that does various things better etc and has extra features etc. For many especially in the Xbox heartlands which is the USA, Canada and UK it seems people will ponder if its worth waiting for the next xbox. Wii U sales will drop a bit and the launch will be seen as less successful giving Nintendo a smaller foothold.

The chances of Nintendo being given Christmas 2012 on a plate by Sony and Microsoft is very remote. They will try to spoil it. Sony and Microsoft were both taken by surprise by the success of the original wii and suffered because of it. I'm near certain at least one of them will announce their follow up console just before the wii U launches and that it will launch for the christmas period 2013 like sept/oct 2013 some 10 months later.

Yeah youre right all the way but this is not what the average gamer sees. If he isnt wowed, his opinion about microsoft just fades out.

oh no this wasnt aimed at the gamer that uses a console to just play games, its towards the people that use the entertainment features more than gaming.

This info is pretty much from me following microsoft in general for a whole year. If only it was just as easy to follow Nintendo. Hmmm
