The Tv button on the wii u gamepad is to switch from game mode to tvremote mode

That's what I meant.

Wow...I assumed this would be available for all games, it was something they seemed to show off a lot at last years E3 and now it's probably only going to be one of those things that only a few games will support.

I'm not sure why anyone would assume this feature will be available for all games. As already mentioned its a feature that's built in but it will be up to the developers to utilise it or not. It may not be feasible for all games. Not to mention sending the information to the Wii U game pad may also affect the frame rate or overall performance of the game.

It's all up to the developer like people said.

Take for instance iPhone/Android games there are a lot that have online, but I don't see many using the Phones mic to talk to the other players. The only game on the iPhone that I know uses it is MetalStorm: Wingman
