With Mario Kart 3DS coming out, I was thinking about the series. There is a lot of Mario Kart games. Is there one for every console?

I don't think there was a Mario Kart game on the NES or Virtual Boy. Other than that, every Nintendo console and handheld has had a Mario Kart game.

There also wasn't one for the Game Boy or Game Boy Colour.

Haha, I have a hard time imagining how a Mario Kart game would work on a game and watch =D

There were 2, Mario Kart Arcade GP and Mario kart Arcade GP 2.
Developed by Namco I'm pretty sure, they are pretty fun.

I am not positive, but they sure do like their Mario kart! But I don't blame them, it makes them a lot of money because everyone can play the games and they are fairly easy to learn and super fun! So I don't think they will end the series any time soon.

Well yeah it's their biggest spin off franchise and the earliest one the have. It will probably never end, they will just keep making them.

Exactly. I doughy they will ever have a franchise that grows bigger than Mario kart if they continue the games.

Plus there's always a new Mario game by the time there's a Mario Kart 3DS so there's always new characters and tracks.

Actually, what I meant by Mario Kart Arcade is a "Donkey Kong" style Arcade. This pre-NES stuff, not something like in these pics.

There's like only 3 characters that would go in to the game if that happened. O_o

They haven't made a card game of it, either. The things they haven't had one on: the NES, G&W, GB, GBC, and on cards. Other than that, they've made one for every console they've made!

I'm fortunate enough to have had a chance to play Mario Kart Arcade GP 2. It's pretty awesome. Might be a bit of a high hope, but I hope we see it on Virtual Console someday.

It is pretty fun, though Namco just don't live up to Nintendo's Standards.
