Yeah so the most important thing out of all of this? I've been saying for about 2 years now nintendo has the best devs in the business. This guy agrees(mostly) with me. Its not just about pushing polygons to have great graphics its about art and getting the most out of your hardware and NOBODY does that better than nintendo first and second party devs.

Check it out.

This guy seems to think retro and ead's art style is so great that simply making games like galaxy and the primes HD will make them look better than most games that came out this gen.

As asinine as that assertation is at first glance....

Hes right.

Uncharted is not indictive of most games this gen. Gears of war is not indictive of most games this gen....

Like every gen, in every genre, and every entertainment medium.... 90% of whats on the market sucks.

Yeah, the primes and galaxy can best mediocrity on more powerful platforms.

That being said Shin en most definately has a handle on making good graphics... And the information he let loose on what his engine is actually doing is HUGE.

The current leak squad of the v4 devkit cites a more than decent gpgpu offsetting a stripped down low clocked cpu (offset by seperate i/o controllers and dsp for sound)....

Which would enable impressive graphics but rather limiting gameplay as its typically the cpu that determines how much you can have going on at the same time.

The current wii u armeggeddon on gaf is that the cpu is going be a huge bottleneck holding the system back with the gpu needing to use its general purpose capabilities to bail it out.

So, everybody is screaming and crying about things like sub 360/ps3 physics and other weak cpu woes.....

Despite things like havok announcing wii u support of their latest and most advanced physics applications (AND SPECIFICALLY STATED CPU RAN PHYSICS) As well as the complete vision 8 engine.

And the fact the cube had a 2x increase in cpu power from the second to last devkit to the final devkit.....

The wiiu is doomed because of its weak cpu in its v3/4 devkit, so it specifically means it cant do what Shin en says their engine is doing.

This would be great news. Too bad its coming from a named person from a dev house known for good graphics.

If it was an anonymous source the wii u would be saved.

Sounds more like every developer is restricted in what they can talk about by the same nda.

Though Shin en actually let something slip if you read past wii games in hd.

Talking about the number of simultaneous characters and models going on in their engine is a lot more specific than what any other named dev has mentioned.

He said he has a very action heavy game with thousands of animated characters at once, and they had no problems rendering it.... TWICE for independant views on the tv and gamepad.

Ninjas now?

oh, i was assuming this as a main thought pool when developers seem to say something, it seems to match real well

well, even then, i think a month from now is about time we get full specs
and it is kind of strange we did not get any major leaks, think of this then and you could say the wiiu is satisfying enough not to be talked about early.

Uh what? A KNOWN developer? This is fake. I'd rather believe anonymous devs.

Re-release Monster Hunter Tri in HD, this time with decent chat functions.

Win.

Trophy Cards are classy too! LOLZIGZAGOON

Right now my concern is that Nintendo just isn't experienced with this kind of 'advanced' hardware, therefore the games don't look as good as they could/should.

This applies for every Wii U dev off course, but I expected more from Nintendo, looking at Wii Fit U for example..
No sig.

I don't think it's as clear cut as that anymore. Yes there was a time when Nintendo had the best first and second party developers. These days some of Sony's first and second party devs are just as good if not better. The likes of Naughty Dog, Insomniac, Sucker Punch, Sony Santa Monica, Sony Bend, Media Molecule and United Front Games have a pretty good track record and have made some outstanding games over the last five or six years. Sony even have/had some great third party exclusive devs like Quantic Dream and That Game Company.

Yeah, I totally agree. Coming from a more official source just means its bull. Now I have an anonymous source that says the NES has more technical power then the Wii U. That is more believable to me then the Wii U is a next gen console. Nintendo doesn't do next gen, it does last gen rigbt?
