sorry you can lock the tread its ok

i dont see a sega the wii had a conference before launch plus nintendo nows the economy sucks balls right now so no worries on priceing

No its ok lol. Either way hopefully they talk about the price and Launch date around September.. I mean Nintendo has to give time to its customers to Pre-order the system.

This is the trouble when you have 5million different blog sites all putting their own spin on every rumour, tweet and tidbit.
A lot of us here have been saying they'll have a launch event a month or two before launch for a long time, citing wii and 3ds launches as evidence.

What makes you say that? To pull a Sega, that usually refers to giving up hardware and make software only. Nintendo obviously is not planning to do that anytime.

If you are referring to trying to make a bad console, or a bad launch, or even that the Wii U will be the last Nintendo... That won't happen. The Dreamcast was the last failed console in a line of failed consoles. It wasn't that they had just one bad console. Nintendo had a rather successful console with the Wii and DS,, and 3DS is doing good. And so even iff Wii U successful Nintendo will be fine.

sorry everyone who took this as fact, guys read it again, this almost pure speculation from wiiudaily.com they always speculate and talk as if it's fact. the only fact is that there will be a conference this autumn, september is not fact, giving retailers time to promote is not fact

The thread title is misleading as the article mentions that retailers have at least a month to promote and allow for preorders. It may well be longer then that.

I thought it was because Sega had a console release the day after an E3?

Well anyways, I agree the title is misleading. "Stores will only have a month to sell consoles" VS "Stores will know the price a month before launch"

But even that doesn't make sense because the Wii came out six years ago and sales are on the decline. But I actually didn't know that about Sega. I just know the Saturn didn't do well.
