The delete button is only visible to admins and moderators. The reason I do not allow members to delete their own posts is to prevent them from deleting their posts and screwing up the flow of conversation.i made a post and wanted to delete it, so i tried editing it but there wasnt a button to do this, i would do a ton of spaces then a . but it would be considered spam, so can an admin fix this or something and add this option? it seems unfair that the people who made the post can only edit it and not do anything eles about it.
Quoted from the terms you agreed to when you registered:
If you have a legitimate reason to delete a post, please click the report button on it and explain why it should be deleted, and the first moderator to come online will check on it.The messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of Wii U Forums. Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to contact us immediately via email (yes, we do actually read our emails). We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if - and only if - we determine that removal is necessary. We will not accommodate requests to remove posts if we have no good reason to do so.
Do note that members are allowed to edit their posts for an indefinite period of time. In theory, this gives them the ability to "blank out" a post, effectively deleting it but not really. The reason we still give members that ability is to allow them to have an easier time organizing events, sig request threads, or the like. But I've already seen several instances of "blanking" occur, and it's possible that I may change the policy on editing time limits.
Hope that clears things up for you, and thanks for posting a feedback thread about it instead of staying mum and quiet about it.
