Ya know what I hate about the internet? It's hard to tell when people are being sarcastic. I'm taking about the people in this thread, not the article :P. I'm seriously hoping people asking for release date and price realize none of these are real.

stand up station FOR CORE GAMERS im loving that stand up station but i am expecting a gamepad cradle to ship with the console i hope so anyways

right why the stand up station is a MUST for true core gamers DUAL CONTROLER PLAY THATS WHY!!!! you play say COD on wiiu you use the wii remote and nunchuck controls (as a core guy would do naturally hhhmmm) so your CORRECTLY PLAYING A FPS no twin sticks of qiuckscope casual aim ah-hhhm.... so your sitting there chilling with the wii remote playing COD you look down all your info and map etc can display on the gamepad screen all your voice chat is over gamepad mic and speakers and you can point at the gamepad screen and activate interact etc in real time no pauses and lets not forget video chat you could point down flick upwards to tv screen the item changed screen and it activates no jumping in and out of game reqiured

you could also have twin view a view point on the tv and a differant view point on the gamepad screen I EXPECT THIS GAMES INDUSTRY dont let me down like u did with wii

twin sticks and pro pads are for fake cores who refuse to evolve that witch dont evolve DIES.............@ E3 the pikmen game was played like this wii remote and chuck and maps etc on gamepad screen in a stand at base of tv THIS IS MY WII U WAY TO PLAY

Motion Control CoD is just an alternative to Dual Analog CoD, as they are to PC CoD. It's not a downgrade or an improvement.

You will have many gamers complain about aiming with the pointer. They are legitimate claims, such as ache from a raised arm, or that some people have mobility disadvantages in their arms, which would lean them to a dual analog setup.

CoD can be fast paced action, and sometimes it's not wise to look away from the screen, even if you think you are in a safe spot. Such things like Motion Sensors and UAV Recon can give away your location.

Changing setups during mid game is a no no. Games of a customisable nature need limiters, and it shouldn't really matter because they do give you at least 5 varied setups. It's up to you to choose what to grind or what to play strategically.

I think an example was made for the dual view point using the Camera Spike. That was a good one.

Back to the topic of accessories, a stand up station isn't an absolute must. People often readjust themselves in a gaming session, and can easily terminate the use of a stand up station. You can't use them in a reclined or lying flat position either. I can see it being used for TV/Movies, but not really gaming.

... I was gonna call you Nin_Stream for all the pro-Motion Control chatter, but seeing as you are wanting CoD on the Wii U, it simply can't be true! Can it?

Wait, seriously. The descriptions sounded so snarky, and the products so worthless. Now I feel stupid :(

I want some actual skins for the gamepad and the console itself. None of those plastic cases but a sticker skin.

I'm a little bit worried about the long term use of the Wii U game Pad.
  • Replacement rechargable batteries for the game Pad can you even buy them? because rechargable batteries don't last forever.
  • My wifes 3DS touchscreen mulfuctioned a couple of times forcing us to buy replacement 3DS's, the game Pad has a touch screen so do people need to buy backup game Pads?

What's the point in those carry cases? You can't exactly take it down the road and play on it.

I have sold my Wii U, so if I deleted you from NN before I sold it, or haven't accepted your friend request since, this is why.

All those accessories are cheap, tacky and awful. I can't believe people would even consider getting any of them. Total waste of money.

Cause it actualy does look better and more conveinent than my U just lying there plain flt and boring? I'm impaitent and will take a charging station pro until they can ever make an awesome whole Wii U branded tower like the Wii had. For the system and controllers and games and stuff :/ If any of you wiseasses have some better alternatives to plain old U lying there on top of my wooden chest like I have it, all suggestions are welcome lol. Just want it to look better and be treated better and be more prominent than my "last-gen" PS3 and 360 next to it ya know?? :P lol

I'd imagine that there will be companies (who aren't Nintendo as they'll just ask you to buy a new one) that will have replacement pieces, most probably not big retailers but repair and supply parts stores. As long as you take care of the system, you'll make the touchscreens last longer. Not that I'm saying you or your wife don't take care, but simple things like not tapping to rigorously and keeping the screen flat to gravity when you tap it are good.

If it's a worry, you can also purchase a Wii U Pro Controller for the heavier, less touch oriented games you have.

What's the point in those carry cases? You can't exactly take it down the road and play on it.

You obviously did not see the train video.

Are there any quality gamepad covers out there right now that are worth it for the money? How's that Nerf one or the silicon skin that Best Buy sells?
