With the wii mote you can use it as a controller as well playing with it with NSMB made me feel like I was playing with an NES controller

I rather use the controller pro though.

For a 2D Mario game I wouldn't want a pro controller while I've held it and love how it feels and buttom placement its better suited for More complex and sport games.

Does anybody know if you can use the pro controller for super Mario U?

I doubt it. In the newest issue of GameInformer, they had an interview with Miyamoto and Tezuka. the guys at GameInformer noticed that when playing on the GamePad, the ZR button could emulate most of the actions normally triggered by motion gestures. They asked if the entire game could be played without any use of motion control, and Tezuka said "No. There will be some motion required even when you're playing on the GamePad." So unless the Pro Controller has some motion sensing functionality, I doubt it can be used in NSMBU.

I think a lot of games will support it..the only ones which won't would be games that have no benefit from it.

AW HELL NAW!

I want to play Just Dance 4 with the Pro controller... :'(

I honestly very much dislike the Wii Mote. I really hope it is abandoned on the U. I am so tired of pointing a wand at the TV screen. I am hopeful that most developers will design mainly for the Pro and the Gamepad. I will probably base all my game purchasing decisions based on this; I just hope all Nintendo IP games stick with Gamepad design direction.

Considering they are remarketing it again, you're going to have to stick with it until next gen :[

It's gonna be the same case as it was for the classic controller. It is based on development. But no game will ever require it. It will be optional or it will defeat the purpose of the innovation of the Gamepad if developers force Pro controller gameplay.

So, I really never liked the wii remotes and since we can not get a second gamepad for a while, will the wii u pro controller work for every game or do you think it only works with some games? I would like some sort of 2nd controller for when I play with my friends.

I doubt all games will be able to use a Pro Controller. Most will but not all. I say this because what if there is a game that is primarily a button played game but with small amount of motion controls and a lot of touch screen controls. The Pro Controller wouldn't be able to do any of those things. And then designing a game that has all those types of features to be played on the Pro Controller would be a waste of the innovation brought with the Gamepad and a waste of development time.
