IMO, seems a little low, if anything, it'll sell 10 Million this holiday! Or before the end of the Fiscal Year!

I may be wrong, but I thought that they were hoping to sell 4 million this holiday.http://www.examiner.com/article/analyst-believes-wii-u-could-sell-10-million-units-during-first-year

Yeah, and 4 million more Wii's, or something like that, they wanted to sell 8 million Wii U's and Wii's combined before the end of the fiscal year, but with the Wii U being sold out everywhere! I would be surprised if 10 Million Wii U's alone were sold before the end of the fiscal year or Holiday season

I agree with the topic that the sellout seems fishy and more like a marketing tactic. I think the wii u will sell around 5 or 6 million by the end of te fiscal year.Yeah, and 4 million more Wii's, or something like that, they wanted to sell 8 million Wii U's and Wii's combined before the end of the fiscal year, but with the Wii U being sold out everywhere! This is the perfect example for my topic about the fishy launch
Don't forget everyone, these places aren't sold out, their pre order allotment has been met. They'll be on shelves on launch day. Not for long, but they'll be there. It's marketing from both ends because it builds hype, but they want units on shelves on launch day. They don't want to disappoint, and the news will talk about Wii U selling like hot cakes off the shelf as well.
But 10 million in 14 months is a solid, conservative guess. Depends on post holiday momentum and how quickly they can restock shelves.

The Wii, which has the record for highest holiday sales in the console market, sold 3.81mil units it's first month.. The Wii sold 20mil in it's first 14 months.
PS3 sold about 7.6mil during it's first 14 months.
XBox sold about the same.
So 10mil would be a good thing for the Wii U, but I'm sure they are aiming for higher.

these things will sell like hotcakes.
a year ago, people were like "what is Nintendo thinking?"
Now, it's clear as day and everyone wants one.
