Sony VP of Spain has been quoted on the PS4 that is under development stating,

"It's hard to say right now. I do not think we'll have a console with a lot better graphics than the PS3 currently offered. I believe the future will be to offer consumers better and more accessible experience. The aim will be to make more people enter the world of video games and try to design titles for women."

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahah. "design more titles for women" So in other words, the new console will be pink with flowers, and will be a scratch and sniff Game Disk anyway, I hope Sony isn't at the top again this time because it may teach them how Nintendo feels!

I really hope this is not true :| If anything, Microsoft seems to be the one that's moving more towards casual gamers.

Graphics were the biggest thing PS3 had going for it.  If the PS4's graphics are barely better, and they're going to be making games about sewing and cooking, than they could be bottom dwellers again next gen.

HMMmmmmm from what I understand Microsoft is going casual and Sony focusing on women ,I guess that means Nintendo will have the rest of the gaming population .

PS360 controls 'Hardcore'

Currently Kinect seems to be Microsoft's main focus and now it's rumored that Sony is pushing into that area as well...
While Nintendo seems to be sneaking around and devoting half of their resources to 'Hardcore'


Therefor it may soon look like this:

Casual -Nintendo
Middle ground - PS480
'Hardcore' - Nintendo

and eventually Microsony will be slowly cut into nothing from both sides. Hypothetically, of course, I doubt it will be as clean as this

Interesting that they now view it the same way as Nintendo does. The only issue is that Sony has been a copier ever since the controller set up of the PS1 so it'll be interesting to see what they do next generation. They usually just add something on top of what someone else brought into the market.
The first PS1 controller was basically an upside down SNES controller, then it went, we'll add some handles, n64 releases a joystick, sony adds an extra one and some extra shoulder buttons, n64 adds rumple pack, sony releases rumble function, Gamecube goes wireless, Wii goes motion control, PS3 lol sixaxis and Playstation move. Mind you they did try with that ps3 boomerang thing...
I'm very curious as to what they are going to do with the Wii U controller. /rant over I guess.

Hahahaha, PS4 for girls, I don't think they are going to focus on one specific gender, sure there will be a few barbie games here or there, but consoles never have and never will be gender based.
