Like said in the title: spoilers of Leons campaign.

So Simmons wanted to maintain balance and order by killing the president in a bio-terror attack, who was just about to reveal the truth behind Raccoon City. He believed that if the President was to reveal the truth, the world would be in total disorder because of the fear for another outbreak. So what Simmons does is LAUNCH A BIO-ATTACK. Like... what? That's the most ironic thing ever!

I don't really understand. My guess is: He launched these attacks 1. so that the president wouldn't reveal the truth. 2. So that the US can solve these bio-attacks (which would be seen as the ULTIMATE form of warfare), which would earn them more power and honor. The public doesn't know a US government advisor was behind all this in the first place, they can easy cover this up and clear the outbreaks with no problems at all.

Also, what's this Family Simmons is part of? Some kind of RE-version of the Illuminati (a power-elite, that's even above world governments)? I only beat Leons campaign so far.
No sig.

He's obviously just a nut job who thrives on the power to make decisions that have a huge effect. Also Capcom needed to give us the urge to pursue him because no one that is sane would launch missiles on anyone.

As for what family he is part of,i dont know but im guessing capcom will expand it in the next game,we need a new Wesker lol. I wouldnt be surprised if capcom thought of some way to ressurect him, because lets be honest he was sorely missed in Resi 6.

I just hope Resi 7 is one big campaign, with Leon and ADA as the main characters. Capcom could even let us briefly control other characters at certain points in the game, like Chris/Jill/Claire etc.Resi 6 was too unfocused, and it felt disjointed. But i did enjoy the overall story especially when everything pieces together after Ada's campaign. We can only hope.
