Even though the Wii got a revision, its not like it was a major one. So i dont see it happening for the Wii U. Not a huge cosmetic one anyway.

How was it not a major one? Nintendo MAJORLY screwed up. They didn't tell companies that they removed the Gamecube support, so whenever you bought products that needed a Wii with Gamecube support, you couldn't know about it until you opened the box.

I was majorly peeved off when I opened up my Wii, and my DDR game mat and game, to find out they weren't compatible. Don't come back with "I should have done my research" because there was no way of me to know. There was nothing on either product descriptions, not even on the box, that I wouldn't be able to use the products together.

I have sold my Wii U, so if I deleted you from NN before I sold it, or haven't accepted your friend request since, this is why.

A revised Wii U gamepad seems more likely than the system itself.

Pretty much this with more colors down the road.

I think they will release a newer gamepad later on in its life cycle, but the only big revision I can think of is multitouch.

A multitouch revision seems pretty unlikely, Nintendo love their non-multitouch resistive touch screens.

This statement is false. The previous statement is true.

RIP in peace Nintendo.

They will release a new version 6 months after launch, it will be slightly smaller, have a higher mega pixel camera and the headphone port will be on the bottom... Then repeat this cycle every 6 months and call it new each time

Like someone said, it was a long time after the initial launch. And its not like a gamecube is expensive to buy now anyway.
