A few months back, Nintendo Power revealed that WayForward was working on an HD revamp of the 3DS eShop's Mighty Switch Force. The game will not have 3D support, but all sprites have been redone ( that look like the games artwork in cutscenes and promo material). Nintendo recently put up a mini site for the game on their website. The game will be called " Mighty Switch Force! Hyper Drive Edition" ( see what they did there?). It will have all the stages from the 3DS version ( including the five free extra levels), along with hyper versions of each ( what's so hyper about the hyper stages remains to be seen). The game will use the gamepad as the radar like in the 3DS version. Though you will be able to play the game on the gamepad itself. It will be a North American eShop launch title, no price has been set. I'm looking forward to it, hope the hyper stages are extra hard!

I have no 3DS, so I'm excited to play this and Mutant Mudds.

I played the original and loved it. I hope that this new version is worth an extra purchase as the game looks absolutely beautiful! The hyper stages probably are not enough... maybe a new mode or something, like co-op... that would be awesome!

I really am looking forward to this game. I absolutely loved it on the 3DS. I am excited to see what the hyper thing is about. But what I can't wait to see the most is the new animations for it. It's gonna look so beautiful.

Meh. The 3DS one was good but it really wasn't the kind of game that needed a HD remake, WayForward should have worked on a new title for the Wii U instead.

This statement is false. The previous statement is true.

RIP in peace Nintendo.

Seeing as they are finishing up Adventure Time, we might get something from them later?

Yeah, WayForward does a lot! So I bet we can expect some more games fairly soon.
