i was on mynintendo news when i saw what i think someone has made a mistake about 3d on a gamepad now he did say you need special glasses wich could be true but i highly doubt that this is a ture statement and just a mistake as we all know ninendo tryed to do this with the 3ds and it was too difficalt as the touch would not work properly or something. but this is a project manager so thoughts?ps i think this would be one of the most awesome things about wii u if it is true. , link is here: http://mynintendonew...pad-3d-capable/

3D is a lost appeal to me. It's great for 10 seconds, but it's infuriating for extended periods of time.

I'm not saying the Wii U won't handle it or shouldn't handle it. I believe in it's ability to produce them on a 3D compatible television. But on the screen, I seriously don't buy that for a second. It's a touchscreen, and it just seems like a waste of time and tech to apply 3D to something you are effectively going to interrupt on a constant basis.

Of course, it could work brilliantly. It's not like I've ever interacted with a 3D touch interface before. However, I'm not going to give it the benefit of the doubt.

You can tell I'm having a bored, lonely night because I'm talking like Collector.

Trophy Cards are classy too! LOLZIGZAGOON

Watch 3d movies on my tv all the time dont got a problem with it.
Now the 3ds is just weird, probably because its a hand held and you lose that angle alot easier then with glasses and a tv.
So with all that said idk if it would be a good idea to have 3d on the gamepad.

Now the wii u outputting 3d for a 3d tv is no problem and cool, the ps3 does it. Jusy havent found a mind blowing games.

Also dont forget alot of people say 3d when they are talking about graphic not 3d coming off the screen.

I'm willing to bet that there was some miscommunication. Ubisoft Montreal has a LOT of French speaking developers (not to say they only speak French) and I'm sure something got lost in translation so to speak.

I actually love 3D for movies and gaming. It only had added to the immersion for me, and I love shooters and racers on it. What system I get Black Ops 2 on will depend on which one supports 3D. If the Wii U supports it, I'll get it for Wii U, otherwise I'll probably go 360 or PS3 at some point.

3D on your 3D TV is possible. The gamepad, no. Not with special glasses, but you could stick a sheet over the screen.
http://www.mobilemag.com/2011/07/04/pic3d-sticker-makes-any-device-even-the-iphone-glasses-free-3d/ like that.

Pointless though.

Here's the actual quote:

According to a Product Manager from Ubisoft, the game is playable in 3D with the help of 3D glasses.
With a 3D enabled television, the game can be enjoyed in full 3D both on the big screen and the Gamepad screen at the same time.

I think what they actually said would be something like:
The game can be played in full 3D with 3DTV and glasses.
The game uses the gamepad and the TV screen at the same time, you can't switch it to gamepad-only mode.

And then the website got confused.

So you're telling me you're buying Black Ops 2 for 3d, that's disgusting!

Still would be really cool to have on the gamepad. I can see it now sitting back in my bed watching a 3D movie on the gamepad, but I'm not gonna hold my breath for this

You do know the wii u cant play dvds or blurays right?
And cool thought but thats what a tablet is for. But me myself like watching stuff on the 42in lcd.

Mines did to at first but i got use to it. Still dont use tho since it doesnt work prefect. Now 3d tv with glasses and a bluray all is good no headaches or anything.

Also have you eyes check to see of you might need glasses. I knew i did before amd when i got them things where a lil better.

And what would be really cool would ne a wii 4d woth holograms poping up out of the gamepad and off the tv.
Lol that golf game would be get woth holagrams.

It would be a nice feature ( especially for 3D movies), but I doubt a big feature like this would be left unknown three weeks from launch. But who knows, but if there was a 3D gamepad in the future, it would probably need to be a revision of the controller itself. Which I doubt would happen.
