Gabe Newell of Valve has said that the “Wii U seems to be a lot more powerful than the previous generation.” And, as such, “It sort of fits better into the scalability in terms of graphics performance and CPU performance, so I think it’ll be a lot easier for us to fit it into our scalability model.”
So, what does this all mean?
We’ve always loved Nintendo. Now it’s a lot easier to look at Wii U and have it fit within that framework.
In less abstract terms, Valve feels they’ll be able to work with the Wii U. It’s not a confirmation they have anything in the works, but the possibility is on the table.
