So, just watching a video on YouTube then and this guy is saying only in Japan at first you'll be able to buy these in shops and that they'll cost £200 (dollars) WTF??? ..I'm sure early next year these gamepads will be in all shops but what is the actual price of 1 of these?

The GamePad is going to cost a fair bit, have you seen the tech in it?

it will likely not be that expensive, if you do a straight currency conversion from the japanese price it will cost that much, but that's not how they determine prices in different regions. Besides, I think they're not releasing it in EU or US until the price of manufacturing goes down because they know people won't buy it for such a high price

They will believe them to the use later on but the price will be about the same.
And yes i trust his word he isnt your normal gamestop cashir. Knew him for a while and he goes to all the e3 and what not.

And yea i know its overpriced but the wii u is being sold at a lost. So my guess is the system is probably around $500-$600 to make.

Remember that a lot of money goes into R&D. That's why the 3DS is now being sold at a profit even though at $170 it was at a loss.
