No, I believe it will be permanent but this is the start of it.

yes, it is permanent. i created that banner as a placeholder.. it will be changed soon.

Will the theme be as planned. "Cerberuz and I were thinking the top would be a random Wii U game, so each time you come it would be a different game.

Unfortunately, that isn't possible with the restrictions of IP. Board.

Also, it would take the page longer to load all those images.. especially since the front page banner size is 200 x 3000.

Random pictures that appear upon visiting would be nice.

Or something similar to the 3DSForums where the banner changes every now and then, usually to fit the occasion or a major release of a game.

I suppose you could insert a title for a week for game tournaments we host among players, perhaps even allowing a link to the thread in question.

Then the person who quoted the person who made a gif is wrong.

And I know, it was discussed in an earlier thread. Where I said basically the same thing, and then we discussed the possibility of using php gd to have a new jpg or png show upon refresh/load of the page(any page so long as it has the banned up top).
One that changes after a set amount of time, or a random amount of time without refreshing would not work however, which I guess is what you people want. Magic isn't the same as computers.
