I have some questions, mostly regarding the games length. First off, how many levels and worlds are there? From the map I can tell about 7 worlds, but is Peach' castle a world? Is the game any shorter or longer than the previous NSMBs? I saw some levels on Youtube that were 5+ minutes, which is pretty big to me. But I also heard there's only about 60, so that's a big step back compared to NSMB2s 80 and SMWs 96 exits (exits, so no levels).

How is the difficulty? I liked NSMWs difficulty, especially world 8/9 and some in 7. Nothing ridiculously hard like SMB3 world 8, but still a decent challenge. And how is the leveldesign compared to previous games? And finallly, is the overworld interesting enough with enough hidden exits and paths you wouldn't expect easily?

I know it's a lot, but thanks, I can't wait for this game.

Have you seen any of the reviews, as from what I've heard it's a very good game with all the things you just mentioned, that's why I'm picking it up :D

I think I read.. one review, the IGN one I think. But they don't mention exact details such as world or level amount, which I'm pretty interested in.

So far there are at least 70 levels, I've counted. That's a decent amount I guess, I don't think it's shorter than previous 2D games.

Edit: 82 levels exact, including secret levels, but excluding Toad Houses and Enemy levels.

Minigames as in, Boost Mode?

Its pret standard for a Mario title.....honestly....it's not a very long game....I wanna say no more than 10 hours of gameplay total from start to finish if u just rush through it....

BUT there's a carp ton u can do in the game like secrets etc after you beat it...its very similar to super Mario world for snes........not too mention there's brand new modes that give the game a lasting appeal....one mode you have to try and beat every level I believe....don't quote me on the every level....but do it without ever touching the ground......the u can do time trials.....a lot of lasting appeal here....I never buy ba game unless its worth it.....nsmbu is worth it

I'm watching a walkthrough on youtube, waiting 9 days is beyond me. :(

So far the total is 140 minutes I guess. Guestimating the time because math. He's not finished the game yet of course.

There is a large amount of content in the game aside from just the main story. There are a lot of levels but there is more in challenge mode, Boost Rush, and Coin Attack. Challenge mode has anything from speed runs to 1-up challenges to coin collecting. Boost Rush is a nice change of pace to play every once and a while, and coin attack is a great party mode.

Then the difficulty. If you are just running through the game as fast as possible, its not to hard for the first 4 areas, but gets harder. The real challenge comes when looking for secrets and collecting Star Coins. There are also special Nabbit challenges in the story where you chase down an enemy in a level that you have played before, and it is very fun. The levels also seem to be longer than they were in NSMB2 but that may just be me.

All in all. I think that this game is totally worth the purchase, and has plenty of content to dive into. This is by far the best New Super Mario Bros. I have played.

I thought I saw someone on here say they beat it in 12 hours, not including all the secrets, special coins, and what not extras. Seems good to me. It seems just like the one on the Wii but with challenges and future DLC. That was my biggest issue with the first game, after I beat everything there was nothing to do. DLC is gonna be good :P

I hope it's worth the money. I basically got it for 12 dollars off but... a ~10ish hour main game worries me. xD Guess I'm used to RPGs and stuff.

people usually tell you the average minimum time it takes to complete, if you take your time and enjoy the game instead of rushing through you will get more out of it.

2D platformers usually aren't long, this is usually the case Mario and Sonic games. If you want a long, game play adventure or rpg games. If you take your time to enjoy the games levels (which is hard in time limited games) it should last you. It's meant to have replay ability, I certainly really like the game and I could play and replay it for hours.
