Are the bricked Wii Us actually just on autopilot?

Hey everyone this here is a must read article about the Wii U's hardware problems and how they are actually not what they seem. According to this, the "bricked consoles" are merely continuing the download when restarted after being turned off incorrectly and that the OS doesn't show up because the system is on autopilot to continue the update before doing anything else. Also it says you can download the update in the background. Do you think these guys are right?

I think so.
Hi, my name is Alph. I live on a planet named Koppai. I am famous for saving my planet from starvation. My best friends are Brittany and Captain Olimar, NOT Captain Charlie. I like surfing the KopNet and playing Kopetball.

No-one can really tell unless it can be proven.

I have sold my Wii U, so if I deleted you from NN before I sold it, or haven't accepted your friend request since, this is why.

Still doesn't explain people's gamepad's not syncing though, and Wii U's not reading discs.

Hope so, I actually had a nightmare where the power went out whilst updating. Then I woke up

I think they are right, i saw a video yesterday about unboxing and playing the wii u, they started the update but then they decided to stop it so they can show the games, they turned the system off while it was updating and they just turned it on again and there was nothing wrong with the system it turned on nicely and they showed some games after that
