I just got a new 32 inch Toshiba LCD HDTV to play with my Wii U and I noticed that there is a small delay in the audio that plays on the Gamepad and the TV. In New Super Mario Bros. U once you get to the title screen the Gamepad plays the intro tune, and a couple seconds later the TV plays the same tune and it causes a noticeable echo effect that just sounds awful! On Sonic and SEGA All-stars Racing Transformed if a character yells out something it will also do this echo effect so I know its not just NSMBU. Would anybody happen to know how I could fix this?

Have you synced your gamepad to your new TV?

I don't have a stereo, I'm just using a TV.

I believe so, Are you talking about the setting where you set your TV if its HD and what resolution it is?

Its the one where you use the gamepad camera or whatever to measure the output lag from the TV, and then the system induces lag in the gamepad so it matches your tv.

Oh! I haven't used that setting before! Where is that option at, I can't find it under System Settings.

A slight deviation in this thread,

I will be running my Wii U through a 5.1 amp & playing the sound through the amps speakers & not the TV speakers, will this effect the audio i will get through the gamepad ?

OK here is the break down on it.
Most tv will have a delay. Its normal. Its in mili sce.
On Nintendo land the gamepad is just a tad ahead of the tv.
But as i said its normal since the tv had to take in the input and decode it then output it to the speakers, while the gamepad is connected right to the wii u and just outputs to it.

Now some tv do have settings for this but not all. I also hey that LG tvs have more of a lag.

Some televisions also have a "Game Mode" in the settings which reduces lag.

The sound form gamepad and TV is like if you have a surround sound system and the output sound is coming from the TV speakers and the speakers hooked to the reciever you will get a small lag causing a small echo. What I would recomend is to just either turn down the gamepad sound or off all togehter if you cannot take the echo while doing tv play vice versa for gamepad play because you are not going to get perfect stereo sound without the echo.
