You know how feld0 ranks us depending how many topics we posted? Well I was thinking there could be new pages where if your ranked high enough then you could post topics there. For example, there could be a topic where you have to be ranked spikey to post topics there. Anybody could reply but you have to be spikey to post a topic.

I agree with Mournblade. Though it encourages activity, it can cause hordes meaningless posting and, and as he said, elitism. It can cause a rift and nonsense issues. Also, it's discouraging for anyone who may want to share information but isn't able too. Meh.

It does encourage people to spam more but it also makes people talk more actively to be able to create those high status topics.

Maybe if me made it so it had to be higher than whatever you were at a given time. I think that might work well.

in after my post.I don't like that idea. It encourages people to spam to get their ranks up or to practice elitism.
I've been on a forum where they tried exclusive stuff like that and it didn't work out too well.

I'm sorry, but I'm not a fan of the idea. I can see it encouraging users to spam and think users should get certain privileges based on something like post count. I also don't really see how it could make the forums any better. Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm afraid I'm going to veto this one.

"Agreed" < see perfect example of how one liner post like that would get spammed just to have a higher post count.
