Free will is actually an illusion. Check out Free Will by Sam Harris.... quite an amazing read.

Wicca is pure superstition. I don't consider it a real religion. Besides, how many of them are still around?

Wicca is actually a growing belief. Troll Fail on your part.

Why ruin the thread? With ponies and cats too...It doesn't get any worse than that.

This statement is false. The previous statement is true.

RIP in peace Nintendo.

I dont believe in ANY religion but im not exactly an athiest...i believe ALL religion is poop and only there as another(probably the biggest)form of control to keep the mass sheep population in line.

Christians tell me,IF the bible is true and it DOES tell the history of how things started etc etc then why the fook dosnt it mention dinosaurs ANYWHERE in the bible?? also the bible was written by the hand of man infact MANY men wrote the bible and if i remember right it took over 100years to write by over 40 different so called profits(might be the other way round,40 years,100 men cant remember)..

.Religion causes more death and wars than ANYTHING else, people are always arguing over it

Saying all this i DO believe in something else,i DONT believe we came from apes(wouldnt there be no apes left if they all evolved?) and i DO believe theres something after death,....we are NOT our bodies, our bodies are shells/vesels for us to ride through the journey of life and at the end we dump them and go on to whatever else is out there..... :)

Seriously? 19 posts of cats/ponies/general spam? I've hidden all of the spam posts and will give formal warnings to any users who continue derailing threads by posting unrelated images.

I'm sure wiki/the internet has a label for your beliefs.
I think you fit the pigeon hole of naturalist maybe? The anti-evolution thing is throwing me a little.

The anti-evolution thing is throwing me a little.

Not one-hundred percent sure here as their words are jumbled all over. However, I believe that was part of his little rant on what people are arguing about. Not sure, but if you read that one part like this it kind of makes more sense. (Shrugs) Again not 100% sure, but at least that is how I read it.

People are always arguing over religion saying, "I believe in something else and I do not believe we came from apes. Wouldn't there be no apes left if they all evolved?" and "I do believe there is something after death as we are not our bodies. Our bodies are shells or vessels for us to ride through the journey of life, and at the end we dump them to go on to whatever else is out there"

Now with this line of text. I almost want to play Mind Jack again.

Sort of helps.

I don't believe we came from apes. Wouldn't there be no apes left if they all evolved?

No, just because a new species is born does not mean the other is killed off. In the process of evolving it takes small slow steps through birth and drastic improvements do not happen overnight. Now in terms of killing things off. Nature only tends to kill off the ones that can not survive in said climates, basically the useless ones. Unless something new to the climate or something like poachers appear to kill them off in drastic measures, then it is all survival of the fittest per se. Sort of like what happened with the dodo bird. Where sailors killed them & even brought other animals into their said enclosed environment.

Grade school kind of explanation (Not meant as an insult)

Lol, call me a troll. It doesn't make your argument look anymore valid.

If I'm wrong, whatever. Would you mind showing me something about Wiccans being a growing "religion"? I honestly thought that it died out for the most part.

I'm just a firm believer in the old 'if I can see it. I believe it' line. I won't put faith in a book that was written over 2000 years ago just because I'm told to. Im not saying it's wrong that others do I'm just saying it's how I live my life.

ok what about the so called missing link? scientists cant proove we are from apes 100% and to me its laughable that we are, infact we have reptillian dna in us,we all have a reptillian part of our brain so if anything we should of evolved from lizards/snakes?

Very interesting conversation :)

No, your facts are wrong. Reptilian is only a term based off how the Amygdala behaves. It is one of the oldest brains in any species with a backbone. There is plenty of information on this out there such as this. (Also, a bunch of crazies that think they transform into lizards due to having what you call the lizard brain, along with taking religious backings of serpents and turning them into aliens that breaded with humans. Hell we have some people that think their part wolf. All a joke in the end).

In terms of genes related to apes. Plenty of videos even with detailed information for the people not wanting to read. (Edit: Do not mind the title of the one. You have there are plenty of these even with titles such as this. Tons of reasons why I can see them naming it as the such or vise versa).
