This has been discussed before and doing a search would have found the relevant thread(s). To answer your question no it's not possible. This is for two reasons. First of all the Wii games were never designed to be played with the Gamepad. Secondly when playing Wii games you have to put the Wii U in Wii mode which doesn't support the Wii U specific controllers.

Aw, darn. And it would have been a useful feature, too. It's pretty weird that Nintendo didn't at least make it so where Wii games are viewable on the gamepad, since it has its own senor bar:

lol truee I just hate the nunchuck with a passion....I really just dont get it.....the gamepad is exactly what wii was missing......the hd and all the rest of the upgrades are solid, but the change from nunchuck to gamepad is the revolution for me lol. Was so agaisnt wii because of it. And grew up with 64, so im a hugeee nintendo mark.

Logically, using the Wiimote and nunchuck to play first person shooters is actually the best for aiming and realism.

The problem was the fact that the Wiimote lacked an analog stick so moving the camera was a chore, it spoilt the potential. Then add the fact the nunchuck had those weird notches in the analog, it make it less usable for many types of games.

Now with the Wii U they fixed a lot of those problem, but then screw up by not including analog triggers, thus ruining racing games. It seems like there is always a "catch" with Nintendo.
