Hey guys anyone else had this issue? I shut down with gamepad, gamepad stays on saying it can't sink with console. Restart, shutdown, works no problem. It's happened to me a handful of times.

yes it happened twice for me, when you turn it on instantly it gives the sync error but if you let it rest for a while then it works fine again, its annoying

Ive had this. Its a matter of split second timing isnt it. Shut it down with a wii remote instead. Works for me much better. Hope this helps. :)

Had this happen once. One of the first times I used it. No problems since though!

Not completely sure, but I think it only happens when shutting down when software is running. If I back out to the menu, it doesn't ever do it. It's maybe happened 3 Times for me.

I...
1. always close all software before shutting down my WiiU. I guress it's an habit that I have with PCs...
2. open and close my WiiU with my GamePad most of the time.

So, if this error is caused by powering off the console while something is running, no wonder why I never encountered this problem before (see #1).

To be honest I always close all open and running software before shut down as can cause problems with the shut down process. I reccommend you do the same.
