Hello guys,

This is my first post in this forum so I hope that I post in the right section. If not, please tell me where I should post it otherwise so I can move it or if possible, a mod can do so.

So currently I own a Playstation 3 and a PC, mainly I play games on my Playstation 3 and just checked the Wii U out and it seems to be really great actually.
Thing is, is it worth getting the Wii U? I just discussed it with my parents and as normal, they just make everything seems worthless so I decided to stop asking if it's worth it or not.

I'm going to get it for my own money, I'm an internet marketer so $300.00 is not really a big problem. Now some questions:

Tell me,
How satisfied are you with your purchase?
Are you able to play online?
Are there any Dragon Ball games coming out any soon?
Will the Wii U be able to run eg PS4 games or the next gen games?

Thank you for reading,
Vegeta.

Will the Wii U be able to run eg PS4 games or the next gen games? I suspect It'll be able to run Next Gen for a least a couple of years.

I would suggest u to wait for revision 2 of the system. Its a new console and it seems it has lots of baby flues...

So wait for a 2-4 months till u get it.... Right now the system is known of :

1) hdmi problem, some wii Us hdmi not functioning.
2) the huge updates that may bring ur system at risk
3) and some other problems...

Right now to be honest? Noooot too satisfied. However that is just because all the games I want were pushed back to next year. Within four months it will be one of the most played consoles for a good few months with the likes of Pikmin 3, and Monster Hunter Ultimate (200+ hours alone just in that).

Online has worked without an issue so far in the eShop, Miivere, etc., but I can not say for sure if it can play online without issues since we have no online-compatible games. Sorry! I haven't hear any complaints about it from friends who bought Sonic Racing Transformed though, so I'm quite certain it's working to the point you could say that yes, it works.

Not so sure on this one. Again, I'm sorry that I couldn't help here.

Absolutely NO ONE knows what the other systems will be capable of. It may be able to, it may not. I'm just going to make the safe bet though and assume that no, it will not be able to. The Wii U may be next-gen, but it really isn't too much more powerful than the PS360 right now. This is just the beginning of the console though, and the system's power is still relatively unseen. A few years down the road when the system has been on the market for a while developers may be making much more powerful games. So in the end it's just like was said at first; no one can know.

You do realize that consoles only put out revisions in a small time-frame if, you know, they're junk like the launch 360s were. And even that took a few months didn't it? Suggesting someone waits for a revision just because of a few launch issues is really rather laughable. It may be years until a new revision is made. This isn't the handheld market; releases are not anywhere near as common/often.

so people have to live with broken parts and services for years you mean... Interesting.

Xbox as you said, changed motherboard for about 7-8 times... till the red ring of death almost eliminated and they lost many customers including me.. I dont like junks.. My consideration about wii U, is the huge updates, that turns to be a huge risk for the machine and the broken hdmi ports... If nintendo loves to sell broken hdmi then I as you said, have to wait for years.. no problem from my part.

ps: I am not interested about composite cables... I stopped using them long ago and I dont wish to buy something that it may needs repair, well at least a big % of wii Us got something... Others with the sound, hdmi, pad screen, cd/dvd drive, etc. So personally its critical to wait because many issues must be addressed first. And as far as I know, all companies address their baby flues, without the need of "announcing it". So its time they make a new export from the factory, they tweak something (fix small issues)... wrong?

It depends what do prefer: exclusives of multiplatform.
It also depends what genres you prefer.
