Hi this is my first post to this forum. So my Wii U has been stuffing up since the update. It keeps turning itself on several seconds after I turn it off and it keeps coming up with error code 103-4199 when I try to register a new internet connection and it says I haven't registered one which I have. So I was wondering if there was any easy way to back up or copy save data to a new Wii U since I might get an exchange since this one is not working.

That raises a major ballpain.
Since the hard drives are formatted specifically for the system you use it on, and the nnid's are locked to the console unless Nintendo feel like transferring it for you, there's no way to keep your saves backed up.

Thanks for the answers. Does anyone know a fix to the problem I'm having with my console then? I searched around and apparently it's not just happening to me and I would prefer not to exchange it.

well i am sorry to say the reason you are getting that error is your losing your internet connection settings the way to fix this is change the channel that your wireless operates on i set mine for channel 11 or channel 12 because there are not a lot of people using it
