Does anyone know if the Edimax EW-7811Un 150mbps Mini Wireless Adapter can be plugged into a samsung blu-ray player so it can connect to a WPA router?

Doubt it.
Blu-ray players usually don't have wireless drivers on them.

If a Blu-ray player is Internet connectable, it would have to either be a wired connection, or it would already have built-in wireless.
