Oh I never thought about it like that. It would be better if they at least let you go to the Home menu when you are a lobby.

Not possible in it's current state. It would freeze the game. When you're in a lobby, you're connected to the servers online. It can't be stopped.

Nintendo could just do what Microsoft does with the 360 and require you to put the disc in for validation every time you want to play.

I must agree. I have been playing games since Atari2600 and have always been a Nintendo fan. Yet, do own Playstations, Portables, iOS devices and yes, Xbox360. I bought the WiiU because really believed that Nintendo would step up with a true next gen machine. Maybe an in between generation machine also. But really, the OS of the WiiU is far behind the Xbox360 Os, hell, even some 3ds functions are better then on the WiiU. Its not too late though, throughout the xbox lifespan we have seen 3 brandnew OS' for the console. I hope Nintendo comes up with something better that is more like an overlay then now. I mean, it should be possible by now to pause your game, browse the web, watch a youtube, comment on miiverse, push the homebutton and continue to play right where you left off.

I have to say I'm not a fan of the latest version of the Xbox dashboard and its not very intuitive. It's harder then it needs to be to find certain features. I much prefer the previous ones. I feel the same way about the new design of the Playstation PSN store and prefer the old layout. I do think the Playstation's XMB is far better then the UI of either the Xbox or Wii U.

I would really like an update for the home button to work with online games such as call of duty and Assassin's creed 3. It bugs me that I have to exit out multiplayer and go into campaign in COD BO2 just to pause and exit the game -__-
