I'd have to say Gamecube and PS2 controller.
Gamecube because of the button layout. You din't have to look at your controller and think about what button and where. You just knew where to place your fingers because of the different shapes. Who needs motion control when you have a controller that allows you to be more immersed an a games world simply by button layout. The analogue stick was amazing, best thumb grip ever. The ONLY part of the controller I HATED was the yellow c-stick. So I can't say it's absolutely perfect.
The PS2 controller gets my vote too because it's a classic design, the only thing missing was the gamecube's analogue triggers.

As much as I love the Gamepad, it's not my favorite. I have this wireless Madcatz Gamecube controller. I swear it was made by God. It's so freaking comfortable!
Some people always have a cellphone on them. I'm so awesome I always have a 3DS.

Hard to say but the Gamecube, GamePad and Xbox controller S were all very good BUT since the Wii Remote and Nunchuck are technically a controller with motion control I am inclined to say Wii Mote.
I am catcthing up on some great Wii games and using the WIi mote is really comfortable. How can half Gamecube controller half remote which is extremely ergonomic be a bad thing?
