3rd parties aren`t ruining Wii U.

Wii U had a lot of ports on it`s launch. but so will PS4 and Xbox 3 have a lot of ports.
both consoles might have one or two 3rd party exclusives that matter, but for the most part it will be 1st party games that will stand out. And unfortunately, Nintendo repeated 3DS' mistakes, despite knowing in advance what that would lead too.

Having the big 3rd party exclusives and having all 3rd party games won`t make a difference on either consoles. Actually, it`s better that Nintendo loses on ports now. Because now, they have the time and opportunity to release a good number of 1st party games and lift sales - which is what 3rd parties want to see happen before they decide to take risks.

When PS4 and Xbox 3 come out, not only they will have go head to head with a few exclusives to stand out, but they will have to face Nintendo at November and December, with probably all of the big 3rd party exclusives and great 1st party/exclusive games already out: Lego, MH 3, Pikmin 3, Yoshi, WW HD, Mario Kart or Mario 3D, Wonderful 101. Not to mention they will have to fight against PS3 and Xbox 360: with whom they will share most of their launch line-up, without significant graphical and content changes.

We have to have patience!

What brought me to buy a Wii U was the fact it had 3rd party games

by the time the other consoles come out the wii u's library will be far superior and will attract more support from 3rd party devs. here's what will probably happen: E3 comes, nintendo announces new games, sony shows actual gameplay of their games, they realize some of the things they presented previously won't be able to be done (streaming, the infrastructure just isn't there yet) one or more of the exclusives gets delayed till after launch and the announce a price point of around 400 dollars and a november release date, during the time between E3 and PS4 release Nintendo will be releasing system sellers and slowly gain more third party support, by the time ps4 launches nintendo will announce a modest price drop of 50 dollars for both basic and deluxe models. ps4 will launch with a couple good exclusives a couple good ports of games that came out the past couple months and some lazy ports. people will see wii u's in store and see the massive library of games compared to the small rack of ps4 games and lower price-point and go with a wii u instead. over the next couple months the wii u will see a massive increase in sales, first party launches and increased 3rd party support while the ps4 sits there with lolnogaemskillzone3superhdversion, then ps4 will start getting games and end up just behind the wii u while the next-box sits in last :P
