Hello fellow gamers!,

I hope everyone is doing well. :)

With the new innovative Wii U out there, developers have the opportunity to create new gaming experiences as well as add to existing game experiences as well.

With that in mind, Minecraft in my opinion would be a natural fit with the GamePad's touchscreen. The game's crafting tables would be very accessible and inventory management a breeze. Since the touchscreen is nice for drawing, being able to make marks on your map (e.g. The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass is one example) would be a subtle but useful addition to the game. Writing on signs would also be easier.

These are just a few examples, but I feel they could enhance the Minecraft experience.

If you have any suggestions, please share them by commenting below! All of your ideas are greatly appreciated.

Take care everyone! :)

Sincerely, NintendoFan

I would love it, but M$ owns rights to Minecraft on consoles.

Are you two sure?
I'd be pretty confident that Microsoft only own the rights to publish the game on the 360.

4J Studios, a company owned by M$ that also ported Banjo Kazooie and Tooie to XBLA, helped out in the development, and that lead to M$ publishing the game.

Could be time-limited.

also, exclusivity isn't the same as owning the rights.

Microsoft doesn't own the rights but they do have a console exclusivity agreement whether its timed or indefinite.

Shame. In Nintendo Land, you can control the camera just by moving the GamePad around. This would've worked in Minecraft too!

Its a shame, as wii u's cpu is FAAAAAR better suited to a game like minecraft than the 360's, and it could run an ungimped version of minecraft instead of the 360's watered down version.

But ms currently has an exclusivity agreement with mojang.

Hello everyone,

Thank you for your contributions, I appreciate it! :)

I wonder if the agreement only applies for a certain amount of time, as has been suggested above, or only for this (now former with the Nintendo Wii U out) generation. If it is the latter, then it could be possible for Minecraft to come to the Wii U.

Personally, I would be surprised if a deal was made where Minecraft would be exclusive to Microsoft consoles forever.

I guess it depends on the official agreement. Just mentioning an exclusive deal with Microsoft is not enough for me. That statement is open to interpretation, at least until more details are given.

Take care everyone! :)

Sincerely, NintendoFan
