CHINA and Japan are sliding towards war. In the waters and skies around disputed islands, China is escalating actions designed to challenge decades of Japanese control. It is accompanying its campaign with increasingly blood-curdling rhetoric. Japan, says the ChinaDaily, is the “real danger and threat to the world”. A military clash, says Global Times, is now “more likely…We need to prepare for the worst.” China appears to be preparing for the first armed confrontation between the two countries in seven decades (see article)

So how does Japan plan on going to war with the largest military in the world?

To tell you the truth this will be horrible for China because they are on the verge of civil war as it is........ but I have a feeling the US will inevitably end up in the war as well T___T

Whoops. There goes the technology era. If this war goes fullscale I think we will see a halt in technology for a couple of years.

What the world needs is more geniuses with humility, there are so few of us left

I don't think they will go to war with each other. Here's an example of why I think so. I own a relatively new keyboard by Roland. Roland is a Japanese Company. The keyboard was made in China. I believe that this so called war is nothing but speculation with no hard facts.

I hope not. It probably won't happen but be careful (from what?) just in case.

I agree with Stardust. I highly doubt this will come to fruition. China has to know there is No way they can start a war with Japan and not have us get involved.

Apparently the US has picked sides with Japan if it does happen. So that means the UK will probably be pulled into this aswell. For gods sake, why can't the all the other countries mind their own bussiness. If it does get bad, OK, to prevent the world from blowing up, get involved and try to stop it. War is a stupid thing that solves nothing.

Not saying the war is going to happen. Though, just because a country has a form of free/International trade agreement does not mean they will not go to war. A country can easily ban trade or select goods from their country when due needed. Not to mention possibly censorship on select culture, media, et cetera. Look at how South Korea banned Japanese products & then how they censored all the Japanese media to keep the foreign views & culture from reaching their borders.

Near on every war is essentially pointless imho.

Because humans like conflict and what bigger conflict can you have then wars.

I must also laugh at all the "US won't let Japan go to war", firstly America is not the world police and secondly (and more importantly) the US loves wars and rarely miss a chance to get involved in one (often claiming victory when they are anything but victorious as well).

I can't see these two countries going to war. There'll be some more arguing over the coming months over who should profit from the oil that surrounds these islands and then it will most likely fizzle out. If there was a war, the chances are that the big western countries would support Japan. China's economy relies on exports, so it wouldn't risk damaging its trade links with markets like the US over this conflict.

I doubt it, but if it happens then we will have to cut in and try and stop them. They are our main goods producers so if they go to war our bad economy will get much worse. I might have to stop them myself... with super powers...
