Back in my day, you'd get 2 games every 6 months and you'd be happy, because you had outside, and you also had homework to do.

Yeah I remember those days, I had to walk uphill to and from school.

Ohh really? I guess Persona 4 Golden, Uncharted Golden Abyss, Disgae 4, Gravity Rush, Rangarok Oddesey etc have not been released on the vita then and are all a figment of my imagination.

I'm willing to wait for the library to catch up. I made the mistake of selling my Wii a little while after launch, and missed out on Twilight Princess, SSBB, and Skyward Sword. I went and bought Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword a couple of weeks ago and I'm making my way through those, which for me will take about a month per game give or take, I'm a little over halfway through TP after two weeks.

I was wrong to underestimate the Wii library, and I'm making up for it now. Ninty can take their time.

For the record, a lot of the 3rd Party gems are either hard to find or dirt cheap

They've been hard to find dirt cheap in my limited experience so far lol. Skyward sword is $30 at Toys R Us but good luck finding it in stock. It's $40 preowned at Gamestop, which I eventually paid. That's just one example, and the other ones I've picked up have been no where near that expensive, just to be clear.

After all of those announcements that Iwata made on the recent Nintendo Direct, I found that the apology wasn't needed. I understand that making great games takes time and will be worth the wait. I'm having fun with my Wii U at the moment and really looking forward to these new games!

My wiiU has not been used to play a game in two months now. New games are needed, and they are needed now or they can only expect this slump of sales to continue.

It's great that Nintendo are trying to take their time of these but the problem is since there really isn't a big enough library yet of WiiU games it's starting to make the WiiU look unattractive sales wise. Im perfectly happy with the WiiU library at the moment but i do hope that Nintendo can at least get 40% of the multi platform third-party titles that aren't just a lazy watered down port.

Been watching this thread, and to be honest my wii u is a slight dissappointment. I get what people are saying bout nintendo taking their time. However the wii u didnt just appear it was in development for probably two years. This means that nintendo were well aware in advance of its release and still failed to provide adequate cover games for the launch window. Some are saying that the field was left open for third party to push their games,if this is true now that all the biggest 3rd party games are released where is what nintendo "held back".Sorry to say it looks like they didnt prepare right an are now playing catchup.Having finished zombiu if it weren't for black ops I would not be playing my wii u right now.

Have you seen the Vita...

The Vita does have some excellent games incliding some excellent fighting ports. Just not enough games though. I hope they have a blockbusting E3 lined upped for the Vita like Nintendo has for the Wii U.

Your just looking in the wrong places Scotty. These threads aren't the best actual places to learn to appreciate the Wii U at.

We will see what happens when the 3rd party Nintendo Direct rolls along. There are strong rumors pointing to badass third party content and not just watered down ports either but also improvements. As for getting origional content im sure it will happen once Nintendo starts giving devs the specs instead of lying to them. Even if the specs are poor not discuss them makes it worse.

With all due respect gaming most my life on lots of formats I know when to respect a console and as good as the tech in the wii u is good tech alone is not enough,as a platform it has not earned my respect as of yet.

As for random unannounced wii u titles/nintendo directs etc.Only an announcement of something I really want to play like watch dogs / battlefield 4? is enough.I was promised "unprecedented partnerships" so far I have seen unprecedented promises.Oh and a heap of third parties clearly unhappy with wiiu for some reason

I have no doubt they will earn your respect in due time. This isn't a new thing, and if you indeed have been gaming on several different consoles and formats you would have experienced this before, console launches are never completely smooth, and developers are still going to be doing cross gen titles for the next couple of years even after Orbis/Durango launch.

Am I the only one who notices that this is in the hardware section? Lol

If Mario Kart Wii U comes out this year, everyone will be like "We never doubted them for a second!" :P

If he understands the need for software why did he not make sure it was there for the Wii U in the first place ?

quality? So thats why there is no 3rd partie support (I am mother doging a bit) I hope Alien colonial marines are not included in the quality list.... This is not a game, this is a disaster... nobody will buy it and then they say " we are dissapointed with wii U sales" hahahahaha

It looks like conspiracy theory against U.. anyway, its to early, give it time.

I think it was said elsewhere, they released the console with few 1st party titles to get 3rd parties to release before they had to compete with Nintendo software. They took away any excuse to develop for the hardware early on, publishers found other excuses though.
