Ok, I accidentally clicked X, so... For the second time today this is Wertville's drawing corner!

Very few people (99.999% percent of the world, give or take 0.001%) know that I'm currently trying to master the 'Art' of drawing. However, until today, I've only been able to successfully draw based on other pictures

But now that changes!

Today I drew an original picture I'm satisfied with, and I thought today would be the day to spread my self-improvement throughout the world! Also... I want criticism! So please, comment on all pictures you see!

Not the best, honestly. I kinda messed up on a few parts... Most notably everything except the jacket. That being said, this picture is rather old, and I've improved quite a bit since then.

Hisui from Tsukihime:

Much better than the Gilgamesh one, that's for sure. The reason mine is so dark is because the lines didn't show up properly... Perhaps I should have taken off my glasses first? (That's a Tsukihime joke, I don't usually wear glasses )
The only problems I have with mine are the shoes and arm, and they didn't turn out so badly. But it's difficult to be your own critic, so please point out any errors I may have made :s

Not much for me to comment on because I just drew it, but please criticize. (Also, I didn't add in any hair lines/tones/whatever yet, so don't complain about that )

So comments and criticism please! I'm a bit of a masochist when it comes to my art, so please criticize! Did I mention criticism?

Err... I could try... But, I've never actually drawn chibi before, so don't expect much :s

I could try that sometime within the next week. I'm not gonna start it now, though, because it's 9:30 here, and I still have to type up something for religion class, do my reviews and get my daily video game fix.

Awesome pictures, Wertville. I think I commented on them in more detail in the chat some time ago (around the time I first set it up). The one thing that irks me a little is that you made the line in Gilgamesh's neck (sorry, I have no idea what the name of the body part is) a little too prominent, IMO. It almost makes it look like a clothing item, but not quite, which is a little confusing. Just lighten the line a little.

Oh, as for the image size, that's a good reason to use the attachment system.

It's just that the computer I was using was really slow... Despite being better than my laptop in every hardware-possible way. (I don't get it either...) It would have taken me forever to upload them all.

As for Gilgi, I think I just plain messed up on the shape of his head. It was too flat overall, and I probably should have attempted some shading. And that neck part. Definitely that neck part :s

I likey I agree with Feld0 on that neck line though... my favourite ones the maid mainly because I think they should sell those things as dresses.

don't really know what to say… the line on the neck of Gilgamesh is a bit weird… i actually don't feel comfortable criticising a drawing because i suck at drawing, but i too am trying to learn to draw, hopefully one day i too shall be able to show the world my crappy drawings.

My advice is to just post them here. Even if you suck. ESPECIALLY if you suck. It can only encourage you to try harder

Well, Gilgamesh's neck was already weird-looking in the original picture. I don't see why people point out that as a mistake, except maybe you could've made it better in your drawing than it was in the screencap. XP

You have more patience than I'll ever have. Can't find anything to criticize, mostly because I'm not so familiar with art styles.

I drew a new picture! Rather quickly! And I like the result


I know it's very generic and basic, but the quality is what counts!
I just drew it, so I can't comment too much on it myself, but I think I could do a MUCH better job on the ear (Which I usually try to hide) and maybe a bit better on the eye's and their shinyness.

Any other comments? (And (Feldian) criticisms?)

Forgot to mention, don't complain about the hair not being shaded... Nothing is shaded yet, so... Yeah.

I like it. Since you didn't shade in the hair, I'm going to assume his hair is blonde. I actually like it without shading though. Good work.

I guess I'll just make one or two more heads I'm satisfied with, then I can move onto the real hard part... The body :/

And I guess blond will save me some effort, so sure. Why not. Though I still think I should do a bit of shading

Bah! Who gives a hell for shading? Eddsworld isn't shaded, nobody complains. It is simply something used to make people feel bad about art. Personally, I NEVER shade.
If you really want to see the only piece of art I've been truly satisfied with. Tough. I'll PM you if your desperate.
Anyways, I like that head. I agree about body's damn evil those things!

Well, Eddsworld doesn't seem to be in an Anime style...
Anime style REQUIRES shading, especially when you aren't using color, like me.

As for the body... Well, I've got an Anatomy book, so I should be good. It's even made for art, rather than science, so I don't have to worry about overloads of text XD

Oh, and you should post your drawing. That way you can be more confident (Trust me on that one) and people can give you advice on how to improve
