Well Activison decided to revamp GoldenEye for the Wii on the HD consoles. I hope this will also come out on the Wii U.

As far as I know, Nintendo only (partially) owns rights to the original N64 title. They don't really own the name itself. E.A. made GoldenEye: Rogue Agent across all last-gen platforms. Activision currently owns rights to the Bond license and the GoldenEye remake was so different from the N64 game that it didn't infringe anything. They can make it on other platforms other than Nintendo's any time they want.

I guess it will be great for such a brilliant title to be available in HD, not sure I'll be getting it for my PS3 version if all that's different is the visuals.
