I know there probably isn't going to be a huge market for this game outside of Japan, but the few videos I've seen really make me excited for this game.

We never get very many good RPGs anymore so I doubt it will hop across the pond. Hmmmmm reminds me of another great classic RPG series....Are you listening Nintendo?

i really enjoyed DQIX on the DS but i wasn´t really excited about X when i first heard about it but after seeing the nintendo direct and trailers it got more and more interesting. The best part for me is that you can play it on the gamepad. Even though it´s weird but for some reason that´s all i want in a wii u game

I'd be excited if it was coming out west

To my knowledge it will come to the west. Square Enix thought the game wouldn't do well on the Wii so they're waiting until they finish with the Wii U version before they release more news on the US/EU versions. That was my understanding anyway.

I looked up the release date and I wish it was March, but it still says TBA.

No, I believe the exact date is March. Send me the link where you found the details.

The Dragon Quest games I've played are some of my fave games ever, I love them, and Akira Torriyama's artwork is stunning, it's just a shame the don't brig them over very often.

Not at all. MMOs always sound good on paper but turn out very poorly, and apparently this one is no different.

I can't find any release dates on my usual sites so I just checked out Wikipedia. It says March 2013 for Japan.

There's no release date as no western release has EVER been mentioned by SE or Nintendo. You guys are just setting yourself up for disappointment.

Lets hope it works. Nintendo needs A good RPG on Wii U.

I been trying to curb my excitement for this possibly coming here. I'd rather not be let down lol. I think our hope is greater than before though with Nintendo and there commitment to bringing more Japanese titles out west.

The same with Earthbound. I think NOA and NOE is starting to get the point.

This has me more excited than anything western devs would make for Wii U. Japan has always held Nintendo to a higher standard, can't wait to see what kind of games we get.

Totally with you. I never really been a huge fan of western games in general. I always been into the niche Japanese titles.

The DS versions have been brilliant so I'll definitely be buying a wii u version if it comes to the UK. Fingers crossed...
