Wii U Blog: Nintendo does not deny downloadable GameCube games

There’s a rumor that the Wii U may allow you to download GameCube games. What’s perhaps the best “evidence” of this is that Nintendo has avoided denial, saying:

To clarify the capabilities of the Wii U system: As correctly stated, Wii U will not play Nintendo GameCube discs, however Nintendo has not made any announcements regarding downloadable content.

Of course, it doesn’t confirm the feature either. But the lack of a straight denial can at least keep us hopeful for the time being.
