Yes, I suppose.... same thing said for mario... :/

I hope the graphics are like the Zelda HD E3 2011 tech demo!

They'll more than likely be better, that was back in 2011 before the hardware was finalized and it was using an engine that wasn't developed specifically for the Wii U.

Yeah voice acting in Zelda is just wrong, having txt really allows it to personalise the character and allows to choose dialogue options :D

How do we know that it's just wrong if it has never been done? I for one would love to see some voice acting added to the game. I wouldn't add a voice to Link, but all the other characters. The other characters' personalities are developed by the creative team, whereas you want a level of personalization with Link. So voice act the rest of the cast, and give answer options for Link. Actually if they do that extensively (dialogue options) they could do a voiceover for Link, but it would have to be appropriate, not like the CD-i Zelda voices.

With the GamePad, I would love a Zelda game where YOU have to draw out all of your maps. This applies to the overworld and dungeons. Whenever you enter a new area, your GamePad will allow you to start drawing a map with the stylus as you progress. Any maps you create for any area/dungeon will be saved and can be edited at anytime. You can also mark the locations of treasures, secrets, character locations, … pretty much anything you want. This feature would probably be more of an annoyance for some gamers, but imagine the immersion and feeling of exploration you'd have. You would actually have to work at finding your way around instead of relying on pre-drawn maps you find in treasure chests.

that....is more or less what i was talking about. just more functionality that makes sense for whatever set piece it is. they should all be enhancing in some way or another. Besides their basic function.

yeh hadn't seen the edit, figured we were on the same page :P

How bout one with an online mode where you can be some of the classic races for example hylian, goron, zora, etc. Maybe like a World of Hyrule sort of thing.

What would we be doing in this online mode?

Not sure how exactly this would work tbh. Actually draw the map, to scale? Could just make it automatic, as you walk around an area you see a map being drawn on the gamepad, but doing it yourself would get tedious real fast imo.

The GamePad would allow you to zoom in and out of your map and draw your map the best way you see fit(to scale or not). The canvas is yours to do as you wish. It's like the old days(well, for me at least :P) when we didn't always have strategy guides and maps and we had to draw our own. Only this time, you can save your maps and edit them as you wish on the GamePad. Though, as I said, I can see how this might be an annoyance to some gamers. It could definitely be tedious work.

Maybe could be a quirky optional thing :P , I'd be more inclined to do it if there was some sort of help during the process.

Judging from WW HD, I can't imagine how they can make it better! :)

MII MODE!!! An online warefare mode where you choose
your mii, dress it up and fight on maps with teams of 4
or a free-for-all. you can dress up as all the important
people, like link, zelda & gannondorf, and there will be
chests with a small array of items & weapons in each
chest. Deathmatch or Rupee race, where you try to get
the most rupees, and you lose some when you die.
Sure, the miis would get rid of the certain "zelda" aspect,
but SO WHAT? It would be hilarious!

Found an article discussing the story history of the Zelda Series and what it means for a future console release.

It's from a month ago, but I hadn't seen it myself.

A futuristic Zelda could be awesome!

If they do that, it needs to be like Hero Of Time. A hero, named Link, goes back and forth from Past to Future. What would be really cool is it starts in the future. You won't know its Zelda, just that you have to travel back in time to discover secrets at these old ruins which in the past are beautiful, but in the past they look old and run down.

And then you at the end see that it is a Zelda game and fight Ganon.

WAR. Link is always there to help a peaceful land remain peaceful. I want to see a game where hyrule is actually at war with an enemy and that war is reflected in he landscape and encounters in hyrule. I have no idea how to make it work, but I honk a change like this could be very interesting if done right. I want to actually be a part of the battle. Engage in fights alongside the knights of hyrule on one hand while still be the chosen hero on the other

How about this art style?

Spoiler

Be sweet if it looked like that ^^ .

I'm actually hoping they base their art style on Skyward Sword, maybe just work on a bigger contrast between the cheerful characters and the evil ones.

Lets say the cheerful characters could almost fit in Wind Waker and the evil ones could look closer to Twilight Princess.

I enjoyed the more realistic looking Twilight but I feel Zelda is a colourful and vibrant fantasy world probably because of my love for aLttP.
