Pretty much all the above. We need those killer 1st party IP's as well as the big 3rd party games. I haven't seen much marketing for the Wii U at all compared to what they did with the Wii. People need to know about it to buy it.

Im sure there isnt a constant redevelopment of drm or anti piracy for every release in fact I would say that it would be more incremental and spread between many releases cost wise.I also think its truly a stretch to claim that nintendo have strong third party support? Also the idea that once the install base is higher third parties will throw more weight behind wiiu. How with a limited catalogue of releases do nintendo intend to install the numbers needed? All this in a year with one other competitior releasing arguably strong hardware and another not far behind? Both of these companies with a far better track record for full third party support.Im not trying to say the console is doa after four months I am trying to say however that they cannot continue like this and expect to fend off ps4/orbis and xbox/durango.Granted there is a very loyal fanbase that nintendo attracts for its 1st party offerings but that alone wont be enough. The wiiu does not have the unique selling points that the wii had.It wont have as much appeal to the traditional non gamer market as wii fit and the like did. Then you go onto say that you think its safe to say ps4 will not sell 3million units in its launch.I wouldnt be so sure. There are 70 million ps3 owners so that is predicting just one in 23 will upgrade to ps4.I cant be sure but those numbers sound low.All that coupled with talk of the ps4/orbis retailing for around 300 pounds in the uk(I paid 329 for my wiiu) and you have a combination of factors that can adversely affect the sales of the wiiu in the foreseeable future.
In real terms I use my wiiu to play black ops 2 having finished zombiu and not really into rpgs or my friends monster hunter. What would you suggest I tide myself over with?I mean we were promised "unprecedented partnerships" but yet dont even get the dlc for black ops 2 for as yet undisclosed reasons?I see what your getting at in what you say but I fear that you dont take any of my points on board all of which I consider to be valid.

Wow, runon sentence there, lol.

Yes 70M PS3 owners with the majority buying the system within the last two years (probably closer to one year, but I'll hedge there). Those people are not going to be spending another $450+ for a PS4 and a game after just buying the previous system. If that were the case, there are over 90M Wii owners the majority of which purchased their systems in the first two years after launch so Wii U sales should be astronomical, yes?

The third party support from large publishers is lacking, but every single one of them has released a game for the system or more. You are basing your assumptions on the fact that no games have been announced for Wii U but with as tight as Nintendo likes to keep announcements I've no doubt they are waiting to announce in ND, like they did for Walking Dead, or e3. WiiU seems to be getting great support from third party indie developers who aren't beholden to the creative interests of a large publisher. This tells me that we will see some of the most creative and original games on the Wii U.

The graphical differences won't be major enough (certainly not in the first two years) to notice the slightest difference between WiiU and Orbis/Durango versions of any games. They have a capable system, with an already large install base, after four months, with GDC and e3 on the horizon. Nintendo 1st party games will sell systems sure, but I don't doubt there will be some great AAA titles released on the console as well, this time with graphical parity to the other consoles, but with more control options (more reliable as well).

Wii U does have the same gameplay advantages that the Wii had. All games, controllers, perpherals, etc work just fine with the Wii U, the only exception being GCN content. This creates a huge library of games that will ALL work without any tricks, some of which I'm making my way through now.

Yes Nintendo has a very loyal fanbase, but that doesn't preclude them from waiting to pick up the system until there is a specific game they are waiting for on it.

With more advertising I have no doubt that Nintendo can shut everyone up about all of this. I think they are waiting to have to great things to show before going on an ad blitz.

YOU are on a WII u board. What do you expect? I've been gaming since the NES, I have played numerous amount of PC titles (which I still plan on buying), and I chose the Wii U over the PS4 and Xbox 720 before they were even announced (and the Xbox 720 hasn't even been announced yet). What you are failing to realize is that no one here needs a reality check. I bought the Wii U for FIRST PARTY TITLES. I have a PC built for things such as THIRD PARTY TITLES. I don't need your PS4 or new Xbox for those. I'm sorry the Nintendo doesn't fit your criteria, but that doesn't mean it doesn't everyone elses. We don't need medication, I see plenty of truth, and I don't need a reality check. You're not going to convince anyone of anything, and quite frankly I'm tired of seeing your negative posts popping up all over the place. I'm sure there is a PS4 board somewhere you can hang out at. Nintendo has survived for 30 years on first party titles, and I highly doubt a new Xbox or Playstation will sink them into the ground.

You apparently didn't read my post, I'm far from delusional son. Keep your finger out of the sockets and you won't get burned as often.

Ok now, you haven't any right to be telling anyone on this forum or any for that matter what they are allowed to say, think, feel, etc. If selling the system works best for you then by all means. No one forced your wallet open in the first place, certainly not any of us. I've never known anyone who buys a product only to start b*tching about it less than two months later because there aren't enough games when you bought during the launch window.

Release schedule of impending doom? You can't have been burned by Nintendo consoles before, I don't think you've been alive long enough to see them launch, or never payed attention at the very least. 28 games, the majority of which are third party, at launch with more coming inside the launch window is not the release schedule of doom.

There hasn't been a whole lot of blind faith, I know Nintendo has their work cut out for them, but they have shown time and time again that they are up to the task, so yes, I have faith. That faith has been earned over 25 years of gaming. You, however, have been blindly negative ever since I showed up here. None of your posts make much sense, half of them are entirely unintelligible and lack any semblance of the English language.

Not only that, but you are incapable of hearing anyone else's opinion. The first time I read one of your posts I wrote you off for a troll, but to find out that not only are you not a troll, but you actually believe what you are saying, and think that your opinion means more than everyone else's is mindblowing.

I voted Better/More Advertising as I think this will increase system sales and in turn bring in more 3rd party support and in turn provide more games! I bet we will see a bigger marketing campaign this holiday season but really think it would help to start it up sooner than later.
