Why is my console not connecting to the wii u control. We have to get close to the console to play a game

There is a certain limit of how far you can be from the console. This might be the issue.

it also depends on who is using what signal in your house xbox 360's interfer with the signal the ps3 doesnt certain routers do it's hit and miss
