DuckTales Remastered 1

For those of you who enjoyed Ducktales on the NES, your time has finally arrived! Tomorrow, the wait is finally over and Ducktales Remastered will be available for download on the Wii U for $15. The original game is one of the most loved games of all time, but even if you never played the original, I’d highly recommend purchasing the remastered version.

#231105 [WUB] Pikmin and Olimar Once Again Join Smash Bros.

Posted by Wii U News on 12 July 2013 - 01:18 PM

olimarThis is no time to relax Olimar!

Pikmin and Olimar were revealed to return in the next installment of Super Smash Bros. today on the official Smash Bros. website. I believe the reasoning behind revealing Pikmin and Olimar is related to Pikmin 3 being released soon. Even the page for Pikmin and Olimar contains a link to the official Pikmin 3 website.

Although no information is available on Pikmin and Olimar, we were able to see various parts of their stage in the next Super Smash Bros., and it does look quite impressive from what we can see. I only hope Olimar can use the new pikmin available in Pikmin 3.

#227594 [WUB] Explaining Wii U Blog’s Recent Silence

Posted by Wii U News on 29 June 2013 - 09:38 PM

Wii U Cascade

As I’m sure you have noticed, the Wii U Blog has been dry on news lately. I’ve been in the process of moving the last few weeks, and just as well, my internet has been quite faulty. Fortunately, everything has relaxed within the last few days.

I understand many of you are unhappy with how the blog has been ran lately, but I’m trying my best to keep things moving as David had planned. We’re still trying to redesign the blogs as well as bring new content. I did not take this position to ignore it, but I did not plan on having so many interruptions as well.

To assist me in the coming weeks as well as to bring more content to the blog, I’ve brought a few more people to help out with things including reviews, first impressions, and speculation. In case I’m unable to update the blog in the future, I do have two people who will be helping me with updates, TealGameMaster and Praised Scooter.

I sincerely apologize for the lack of updates in the past and I hope you will forgive me and join me for future updates on the Wii U Blog.

#220110 [WUB] Don’t Have Internet? Stick With the XBox 360

Posted by Wii U News on 11 June 2013 - 10:56 PM

Maybe Microsoft shot themselves in the foot with this interview based on their newest console, the XBox One.

In the interview, XBox executive Don Mattrick says for the people who don’t have an internet connection, Microsoft already has a console for you, the XBox 360. That’s right, don’t bother upgrading this generation if you don’t have internet. Then again, if you don’t have internet, you’re likely not reading this, but the point remains. It’s almost as if he’s talking down to people who disagree with the internet connection requirement.

In my opinion, although the XBox One is about as powerful as the PlayStation 4, Microsoft is not doing themselves any good by singling out a group of people based on internet connection. Granted, more people have internet now than when the XBox 360 was released, but there are times when internet connection may be impossible.

Luckily, even if you don’t have a constant internet connection, you can always play the Nintendo Wii U or Sony PlayStation 4.

What did you take away from the interview?

#220104 [WUB] More Pikmin 3 Information from Shigeru Miyamoto

Posted by Wii U News on 11 June 2013 - 10:33 PM

According to Miyamoto, you may see a bit of Olimar in Pikmin 3, although you do not play as him in game. Instead, the story of the game will explain how the main characters, Charlie, Alf, and Britney, got involved with Olimar. Also, another new feature is that you can control where specifically you have your pikmin attack on enemies, which is a tad interesting, but wouldn’t you feel bad tossing Pikmin into the eyes of a poor Bulbear?

#219382 [WUB] Smash Bros. Dojo is Back in Action

Posted by Wii U News on 11 June 2013 - 07:39 AM

daily

The Smash Dojo, the official site of Super Smash Bros., is back online for Super Smash Bros. for the Nitnendo 3DS and Wii U. I’m fairly confident the site will work the same as when it did for Brawl, giving us a constant stream of updates for characters, stages, and much more for the game. As for now, you can only find a myriad of screenshots not shown during E3 on the website.

We’ll also keep you posted every week for all Smash Bros. updates. You can visit the Smash Dojo here.
