Hello, Poketards Pokefans! Welcome to the Official Pokemon Discussion Thread! In this thread, you can discuss everything related to Pokemon Including the anime, I guess

Game-

The most recent Pokemon game is Pokemon Black/White 2, although it's currently only released in Japan, the game will come to NA on October 5th, 2012 and to Europe on October 12, 2012!

What is Pokemon BW2?

Well, this game is definitely special, It's the first direct sequel to a Pokemon game! The game continues BW's revolutionary story about Team Plasma, Cheren, Bianca, N, Ghetsis, and, well, you!

Anime-

Pokemon is also a large, successful anime both in Japan and everywhere else, the anime follows the story of Ash and his Pikachu as they travel to different Regions and discover new allies and Pokemon. The latest arc is Pokemon BW Rival Destinies, it's worth a try if you just can't get enough of Pokemon!

TGC-

(Trading Card Game)

Pokemon also has a TGC side to it, complete with tons of cards to collect and use over the years, it's another aspect of the huge Pokemon franchise, give it a go if you've had enough of Yu-Gi-Oh!

Anyway , hope you everyone enjoys this thread I worked "So hard" on! Gotta Catch Em' All!

Camelot (Golden Sun, Mario Tennis) Want to work on Donkey Kong 64 2

04 July 2012 - 05:42 PM

That's right, the guys who made the awesome Golden Sun, Golden Sun: Lost Age, and Golden Sun: Dark Dawn (Along with the Mario Tennis Series) Want to work on a Donkey Kong, to be more specific, a sequel to Donkey Kong 64!
----

Quote:

Out of Nintendo’s entire stable of franchises, Hiroyuki Takahashi has said that he’d be most interested in working on Donkey Kong.

The Camelot president told Nintendo Gamer in its July issue that the series “would prove really interesting” since its “games are full of surprises.” He pointed to Donkey Kong 64 specifically in his response.

Speaking of Donkey Kong 64, Takahashi noted that he “would love to make a sequel to it.”

Perhaps this could happen… one day. Camelot does have a pretty close relationship with Nintendo, though the company has mostly stuck to Mario Tennis and Golden Sun titles in recent years.

I think this would be great! I enjoyed DK 64, but I never finished it.
I wonder what they could come up with to make it better.

PS3 Owners- What's a good game to start with?

12 June 2012 - 09:22 PM

So I'm gonna have a PS3 in a few months/weeks and I wanted to ask some of you PS3 owners some advice. What is a really great PS3 game? (I'm mostly into Japanese stuff, and I heard PS3 has a pretty damn good library, but anyway, I like some games like inFamous and Uncharted)
Anyway I have considered some-
Final Fantasy XIII-2
GoW III
DmC

so, help?

So, Uh- I think I might want a PS4? [Wii U Hardware stuff]

Lurking on Neogaf, I found this and... I hope it's.. bullcrap!
Post from a Neogaf user called "Bgassasin"-

Wsippel gave me the heads up on a very interesting post on B3D.

From what I hear (and I trust my source on this as reliable), the CPU chip in WiiU is almost certainly weaker than Xenon & Cell. Which is why some devs have outright refused to port their existing (in-development) PS360 games to it. I believe Nintendo indended the GPU compute support to make up the difference for their weak CPU choice, however the CPU performance is so bad that devs would be required to refactor their entire engines to get stuff working on the GPU instead, and for many dev that would be impossible on their current project schedules.

-------------------------------------------
Uh... Speculate! I honestly don't know what to believe anymore. You have these comments from developers saying that the Wii U is powerful but then you have these people with "Sources" on forums. I... I really don't want to be stuck with crappy hardware for yet another generation (2 gens with GC/PS2 FTW!)
So what do you think?

How do you prepare for E3?

31 May 2012 - 08:14 AM

Well, you know, do you invite friends over? Do you buy junk food? Do you replay some games in honor of E3?
I personally don't invite my friends over, I don't think they're as interested in gaming as I am xD
I don't buy junk food, although some Soda helps!
I may play some nostalgic games, but not finish them.

This year, I'm watching the conference on MTV2, commercial and lag free! I am also checking this site and NeoGaf for reactions that will blow my mind. I hope it's fun and Nintendo blows my mind (Again!)
Anyway, what are your plans?

ALSO-
Will you be connection to the Chat during E3? I hope many people do, it was fun during Nintendo Direct April 2012.
