#265176 The factual, positive, promotion of CATONS!

Posted by Auzzie Wingman on 07 January 2014 - 04:20 AM

NO ONE BUY THE BLOODY CATONS!

This man is under arrest for the resale of radioactive material stolen from army bases international as these "Catons". Originally over 60 nations wanted to have this man put before a UN court.

But now, after causing half the global population to mutate from wearing these "Catons", they just want to watch him burn... in space.

I think Mario and Zelda are seriously stale and should start relying on some more diverse IPs.

#261738 Let's talk achievements: Gamerscore VS Trophies?

Posted by Auzzie Wingman on 16 December 2013 - 03:42 PM

I think additional rewards for gaming, whether it's a means to something or just to inflate your ego, is great. You take those massive open world games, places that developers have millions of things littered. If you just play the game from start to finish, you touch a very light amount of what the game offers, and in a way, developers have just wasted time bothering to add that stuff to the game in the first place.

Additional rewards can help drive the consumer to actually go to places like that, out of the way joints that you never really gave to poops about. Of course, you'd have to be one of those types of gamers that do like to add to their notoriety in some way or another among others. You extend game time, you get more fill for your buck, you might accidentally walk into something that really makes the game worth it in those last, rushed moments before the end game.

It amazes me that some gamers think of it as a bad thing. When was a free reasonable extra ever a bad thing? And why on earth did Nintendo NOT include it on the Wii U?

This topic is deliciously flavour loaded.

- Nintendo doesn't make the best games.

Oh man, I stagnated in this game so much. Getting to Goldbeard Ceadeus and no one to help me. I think PWN3, Mig and Blake helped me do it. Underwater combat is such a bush with a now and low water resistance.

Holographic sex parties.

#257016 Nintendo's biggest mistake with reviving Wii U

Posted by Auzzie Wingman on 19 November 2013 - 02:26 PM

So their biggest marketing mistake is marketing it to the most profitable audience they had last generation?

He's more or less saying that Nintendo's advertising approach doesn't coincide with the initial declarations they made around E3 2011 time. Nintendo did say they wanted to create a console that catered to both their Wii audience, and extend that to the audiences that are on the PS3 and Xbox 360, iPhone and tablets, and PC.

Of which, I don't think they've done remarkably well. They haven't tried their hardest to appeal to the 3rd Party consumer. Nintendo's first party offerings aren't the kind of offerings that completely sate those gaming pleasures that gamers get from those competitor models. Nintendo's clamp down on a complete gaming console simply hasn't been fierce enough for that objective.
