#119897 Wii U already the 2nd choice next gen

Posted by MOFO on 21 October 2012 - 07:51 AM

Getting a Wii U and a  PS4/NextBox depending on what they come out with, just the fact that it's the first of the next gen consoles out is a pretty big deal.

#90488 Would you be disappointed if Nintendo Land and NSMB U don't have online p...

I love NSMB multiplayer, but I don't always have someone to play with, so there better be online! Nintendoland I think there has to be, because of it's integration with Miiverse.

#80465 Wii u and pc

Depends on the PC. Battlefield 3 for PC on max settings and 1080p with tesselation is a next gen game. If the U can do that, then it will be as good as a 2011 PC. But I think the U will have top of the line components from 2009 (similar to my PC, except for my new GPU)

#80078 Info that makes Android Rumor Plausable

ES is old news. Google may be helping Nintendo with the development of the OS, but it will not be android based.

#79495 Ubisoft employee leaks a massive load of Wii U info!

It sounds all over the place. Even after you bypass the shaky translations,

bullet point by bullet point, it doesn't really make all that much sense.

That might not be as absurd as you think. If you think about it, a flash memory cartridge holding about 50GB is quite possible. Might be a little more expensive to mass produce than a High Density Disk, or whatever Nintendo is planning on using, but it would be much faster for loading times. Then again, maybe it won't be too expensive. Flash memory is getting cheaper every day.

Personally, I like the idea.

#56473 What will Wii U game covers look like?

Posted by giggity3000 on 22 January 2012 - 05:31 PM

I think I heard some time ago that Microsoft had a deal with all of their third-party publishers that they were not allowed to take advantage of the PS3's larger discs if it meant that the PS3 version would have more content than the Xbox 360 version of their games. So... Microsoft might be hurting the developers more than themselves.

it's true, thats what infuriates me cause 3rd party games are held back to fit xbox needs. games would be bigger if the xbox limitations weren't an issue
