#306253 What music are you listening to at the moment?

Mourn you would probably really like this song, being it considered progressive rock.

#306169 Secret Santa 2014 Sign Up

Posted by Elric on 29 December 2014 - 12:42 PM

Sorc suggested I post here. Just saying as far as I know neither me or Gruff have recieved presents yet.

Sorry about that. Usually there are one or two people that don't get gifts because the users forget that they are actually signed up. I actually never received a gift either. I will draw both of you something to make up for it, though. I don't want you to not sign up next year because of not receiving anything.

#305960 Secret Santa for Abcdude

Posted by Elric on 24 December 2014 - 01:45 PM

Yep, my santee was Abcdude. So I have two pictures for you. I decided to post today since I will be fairly busy tomorrow. Anyway, I hope you enjoy.

First one is a Scraggy, of course.

Second drawing is kind of random, but I hope you like it nonetheless. I was thinking this the entire time I was drawing it.

"I'm not going to be there because i'm a square, deal with it!"

Well, that's it. Hope you liked it! Merry Christmas, Abcdude.

Update: New Poem! People have said this one has been the best one so far, but I am still working on it to be honest. What do you think?

#305634 Post your beautiful face

Posted by Elric on 19 December 2014 - 12:19 AM

I don't really have to be secretive about my face since most of you have seen it in my poetry videos. So here is a picture of me. Yes, I did indeed take this picture. No, the wings and halo are NOT photoshopped, it's a photo technique called painting with light.

#305280 So... What's On Your Christmas List?

Posted by Elric on 13 December 2014 - 10:41 PM

Family is the most important thing anyways!

Typically those who are celebrating Christmas are celebrating for both recreational and religious reasons (or at least I can say I personally do). Family and religious reasons are the most important, not the gifts. I actually couldn't go to church last Christmas because my brother was in the hospital. We ended up just opening presents and eating a nice dinner, but didn't feel like Christmas because I didn't have all of my family there and we didn't have much of the religious aspect as usual there.

I am asking for a few things for Christmas, only asking for one game.

#304863 Dating people

Posted by Elric on 08 December 2014 - 09:44 AM

I suppose if you're prepared to have women thrown at you.

I think my problem is being a nice guy. You'd think women would want attentive, caring, dependable men but that never seems to be the case. It's always the blatant jerks that get the girl in the end (Not that I'm not a jerk, it's just not blatant or a side that comes out to someone I'm interested it). Nice guys really do finish last.

IMG_3116.JPG

Just because you are nice doesn't mean you are entitled to someone. I too thought that nice guys always finish last. As you grow older you will see that this isn't quite true. As people grow up they start to look for a more meaningful relationship, one that goes past simply physical attraction. While physical attraction will always be a factor in attraction, people start to search for more of a emotional/spiritual bond to others as they grow older.

The amount of stupidity that comes off of Twitter is ridiculous, so this does not surprise me at all.

#303802 Secret Santa 2014 Sign Up

Posted by Elric on 23 November 2014 - 09:25 PM

Oh, look at that. It's almost December. For those who have been here awhile, I bet you know what that means. It's that time of year again.

Since people are interested in a secret santa event this year again, this is place where you should sign up. Sign up will end on December 1st. Santees will be assigned on December 2nd. So for those who aren't sure how secret santa works, each person who signs up will randomly be assigned a "secret santee" via private message in which you make something for them, it can be a wallpaper, sketch, writing, poem, lyrics, instrumental, video, drawing, ect. (basically anything that you make yourself.) You are not allowed to tell the person you are making the gift for them until gift distribution happens which is on December 25th. If you are unable to post the gift on December 25th, you can post it a day early. All gifts should be posted in the museum section of the forums and should be titled "Secret Santa 2014". I expect everyone who signs up to actually follow through with it. To sign up, please reply to this thread, so I can put you on the list.

#303054 Elric's Poetry

Posted by Elric on 16 November 2014 - 02:39 PM

Hi everyone. For those who don't know, I like to pretend to be a good poet sometimes. I sometimes even write poetry and perform them at poetry slams. This thread will be for posting my poetry/videos of my slam poetry. I might post more if you guys enjoy it.

Hope you all enjoy, and like always, comments/feedback is welcome.

This was my first poem, "Egyptian Cotton" (ignore the title on the video, the person who uploads all the videos to the channel is kind of lack and often makes spelling errors).

This one is literally about stage fright:

#299695 Legend of Korra Book 4 discussion

Posted by Elric on 03 October 2014 - 08:06 AM

I don't know about the end of the franchise... You'd think someone would want to fix up the mess they made with Korra. :P

I've rather enjoyed the series, I wouldn't necessarily call it a "mess". Sure, they might have had some mess ups, but the creators/writers had the dilemma of making something as good as the original series.

#299477 Troll- A poem by Shane Koyczan about internet bullying

Posted by Elric on 30 September 2014 - 02:57 PM

Shane Koyczan is probably one of my favorite poets, he recently made a great poem about internet bullying. I thought it was pretty great. Thoughts on the poem? What do you think about the responsibility of being anonymous on the internet?

#298694 Your Top 5 or 10 DS Games

Posted by Elric on 17 September 2014 - 08:37 AM

Had the Kirby games on my radar and guess I cannot go wrong hehe. Metroid Prime Hunters...Dragon Quest... ok I need to break out the ole credit card LMAO.

Thanks for your post. Anyone have any experience with the Contra, Castlevania or Mortal Kombat games that graced the DS?

Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia is pretty great. Probably one of my favorite games on DS. I would also recommend 999, Bowser's inside story, and Shin Megami Tensei: Strange World.
