Well, obviously. We'll be lucky if we even get it before holiday 2014.

#261644 Controversial gaming opinions

Super Mario 3D World is a fun game, but it's nothing amazing. Pretty much just as I expected it to be. The game is majorly overhyped.
Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald are the poorest entries to the Pokemon series. I know back in the day, this used to be the popular opinion, but lately, perhaps with younger fans of which R/S/E were their firsts, the popular opinion has flipped... Somehow Generation IV is now hated, and Generation III is loved. It's not that I don't like R/S/E, I just think they pale in comparison to the rest.
I prefer 3D Zelda over 2D Zelda
(This is probably a very common opinion among the Nintendo fandom, but I still feel alone) - I do not care for super realistic violent games of any kind. It's not that I devalue them and get onto others for playing them, they just aren't for me at all.
Super Mario Sunshine > Super Mario Galaxy 1/2 and the even more linear Super Mario 3D Land/World
Remastered ports (ex. Wind Waker HD and Ocarina of Time 3D) should never be released outside of cheaper collections. Otherwise, actually remake the games.

So I took the plunge and got a Wii U, with Super Mario 3D World. It was a good deal for me with a discount I got for working Black Thursday.
Sorry no pictures because the content of the boxes are all on my bed and my bed is a mess because of that. =P

I doubt that. And if that was to happen then the character must not be important.
You doubt it when Sakurai has already said that, due to limitations, not all characters from the past will return?
As for the last part... Um... Reggie is not a video game character. I can not think of any video game character that would be less "important" than Reggie in regards to having a chance of being playable in SSB.
There are far too many great unused characters for a spot to be hogged up due to a stupid overdone internet meme. For goodness sake, Reggie isn't even a video game character. I really hope this is just a joke, but y'all are acting too serious about actually wanting this.

#258537 Rubin: "Nintendo Is Irrelevant As A Hardware Manufacturer In The Console...

He then went on to say how the company is a "worldwide treasure," adding that "it is a crime that we do not play those games on the systems that we have."
Um... What? He REALLY needs to speak for himself here, because Nintendo consoles are always the first I buy. Why? Because I'm guaranteed a good number of titles that appeal to me. I can't find that consistency very well in the other consoles. It's not that I have no intention to get them (I loved the PS2, and would like to get a PS4 someday), it's just that this comment seems reversed... Instead, I'm wishing that the third party titles could come out on the systems that I have... Nintendo systems.
If games like Kingdom Hearts III made it to the Wii U, I would have absolutely no reason to own a PS4. The Nintendo consoles are NOT the ones that are "irrelevant". They're the only consoles I know I can buy day one and not worry about regretting it in the long term. If Nintendo consoles went away, gaming in its entirety would become irrelevant for me.

It is very obvious with this statement galaxy is being used to reference its series its the latest entry in, not its specific 'galaxy' franchise. Miyamoto wasnt asking if they were going to make the game take place with a space theme, but if the game was going to have the core mechanics of the 3d land series, 2d mario translated properly into 3d, or the mario 64/sunshine/galaxy series, a 3d adventure style game.
This isnt talking about Mario galaxy 3, its talking about another entry in the traditional 3d mario series started by mario 64, with the last entry being mario galaxy 2.
ANd on that front, he is specifically talking to fans of the mario 64 series as a whole, be it galaxy or sunshine. As they are very very different experiences to 2d mario, or the 3dland/world style, as described in chapter 1, they are 'polar opposites'.
And to those fans they say... 'There is a very slight chance we arent forever done with the 64 style 3d mario.'
I don't know, because the Galaxy series isn't actually the "polar opposite" of Super Mario 3D Land/World. The level designs of Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 were much more linear than that of 64/Sunshine. I'd sooner pair Galaxy 1 & 2 with Super Mario 3D Land and World than I would with 64 and Sunshine.

From what I've seen it looks pretty good (visually), but I still think that Mario Kart 8 is the title that really shows off Mario in HD. MK8 is absolutely gorgeous and blew me away.

If it was just a "port" I would have agreed with you.
"Remaster" would be a better term.
Although it's still not much better than a straight-up port. At least not when they're releasing one for full-price, while other companies are releasing multiple remasters in one package for less money. Just look at Kingdom Hearts. Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX contained KH and KH:Re:Chain of Memories, HD remastered like WWHD AND with a fully redone OST... For $40.

#251396 Miyamoto says Super Mario 3D World will bridge the gap between 2D & 3D
Posted by Envy
on 14 October 2013 - 04:03 PM
Um... Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 were already mostly linear in their world design, and already bridged the gap between 2D and 3D. Super Mario 3D Land really only added 2D elements like powerups.
Anyway, as I've said plenty of times before, this is endlessly frustrating. And it's even more frustrating that they think that the Galaxy series is a shining example of 3D open world gameplay. They aren't. Super Mario 64 and Sunshine were the titles that had more open world gameplay in their levels.
I had no problem with the idea of Super Mario 3D Land. I thought it would work perfectly as a 3D series for the handhelds. But by taking it to the consoles, Nintendo has taken it way too far. The original (as in the first) console Mario titles have always, at the very least, had an original theme and not been a sequel. From where I'm standing, it doesn't bode well for neither the Wii U's reputation nor the 3D Mario series.
Of course, 3D World could have just been a title they rushed together because they realized that the timetables for the bigger titles weren't lining up so well. However, the fact that they think that Galaxy is all of that much better doesn't give me any confidence that their next attempt at a real 3D Mario title will be any better.

Turn it into a straight-up adventure game, as opposed to the literal on-rails that the original was.
If done properly, it could turn out to be the best Pokemon spin-off ever made. Not that I've played many since Generation I, I guess. lol I'm just glad that he sees that they can't rerelease the original. It was fun when I was 11 years old, but I'd need something much more in-depth to grab my attention and money now.

How many times has it been said that he wasn't comparing it to the Wii U's launch?
It doesn't matter even one bit. When you call their launch line-ups "Meh", it's no surprise that people are going to point out that your launch line-up was not any better.

#233294 Soul Calibur 2 HD Online coming to PS3 and 360

So, essentially, the Wii U gets neither third party titles that are designed for the PS3 and 360 nor third party titles that are designed for the PS4 and XBO.
That's just bad. =/ Especially considering Soul Calibur 2 was originally on the GCN and even had Link as an exclusive character.

So 4kids ain't doing the editing no more? Thank the Gods!
Yes, 4Kids lost the license a long time ago (I'm not clear whether they gave it up, or got it taken away from them, though). FUNimation has been dubbing and releasing One Piece uncut for around six years now. The first run of FUNimation One Piece on Toonami back in fall of 2007 was edited a bit (but not anywhere near the level of 4Kids. For example, instead of Sanji's cigarette being replaced with a lollipop, they just removed the cigarette and didn't replace it), but the DVD releases and streaming have always been uncut. And a couple of months ago it came back to Toonami on Adult Swim uncut.
