Console's will not die out if they don't adapt. they will just bcome a niche market, JRPGs right now

You don't have to take everything I say literally down to the word.

Consoles will have to adapt the same way smartphones have, or they'll die out. I won't subscribe to old ideas just because it's the way things were.

Let's analyze this, shall we?
  • For the SNES, 'Super' was a selling point, because, hell... it's the word super.
  • For the Nintendo 64, '64' was a selling point. It's a reference to the graphical capabilities of the console.
  • For the Nintendo DS, 'DS' was a selling point. The DS was dual screen.
  • For the Wii, sticking Wii at the end of their titles was a selling point because Nintendo has a [expletive] excellent marketing team.
Now, when it comes to the Wii U:
  • 'U' is a letter. There's essentially nothing to sell.
See my point?

The only Rare games I like were StarFox Adventures and Diddy Kong Racing, but I don't play Rare very much anymore since they moved to xbox.

Eh, I've never been able to forgive Ninty for ruining Dinosaur Planet, but DKR is a fantastic game! Rare's fallen off the map, but Grabbed by the Ghoulies and Viva Piñata are excellent games developed during the post-buyout era.

...I feel my introduction's been drawn out a bit by now.
