#71641 The Real You

Posted by Garolymar on 11 April 2012 - 09:13 PM

I'm sort of the same online as I am offline. Very quiet. I usually don't have much to add to conversations but when I do I just talk to everyone online as I talk to myself in my head. While outside I just try to get past any social interaction as quickly as possible with the simplest response I can think of so I don't stumble over my words. I get really nervous very quickly around strangers...

#62182 Your reaction to Apple joining the console race

Never liked Apple Products. Had one of their laptops for about a month before it overheated and killed itself. Not to mention all the horrible experiences I've had with their desktop computers...

#54558 Will Nintedo Grow Up!

Posted by Garolymar on 15 January 2012 - 11:06 AM

Nintendo doesn't need to change Mario or Zelda to attract a mature audience, they've been doing the same thing for years and older gamers still buy their games because they appeal to both crowds. Nintendo adding drugs and blood would just be silly to be perfectly honest, the game concept you posted sounds like a bad newgrounds video and less then a game.
Nintendo just like classic Disney and Pixar make things that just hit a certain chord with people that regardless of what they look like they can still be enjoyed by both old fans and young fans alike.

This is my Beardie her name is Gilbert, we thought she was a boy till she started laying eggs. We got her from our Uncle who was creeped out by her and thankfully we got her back up to health before she got any worse. She's really energetic now.

This is our 7 year old black lab Riley, she's the dopiest, suck up of a dog I've ever known and she loves to sleep right on top of ya' if you let her. But she hates camera's it's hard to get a mug shot without her trying to look away.

#49663 Christmas Stories!

Posted by Garolymar on 29 December 2011 - 05:12 AM

I got a Christmas/New year's story but... I dunno It's not very jolly more of a fist fight and lots of broken furniture and glass, a real memorable night for sure but I'd rather not hehe.
It was also the first time I beat Luigi's mansion so I guess that's why I remember it so well but yeah... hehe

Um... I remember this one though too it's not as interesting but it was kind of funny. I had gotten a tooth fixed because I chipped it during the holidays pretending to be batman (I was like 4-6 can't really remember.) Anyway I was tripping on that laughing gas for awhile it was kind of foggy but I remember eating the entire gingerbread house with my dog, giving it the gummy treats cause I didn't like them. And taking baby powder from my sisters room and covering the kitchen making my own little winter wonderland. It all probably happened pretty late as I remember everyone else was asleep I'm pretty sure my grandma was furious when she saw what I did to her kitchen but we all laugh about it now.

EDIT:
Not sure if you were allowed to post old ones as my Christmas this year was very uneventful.

I love all the butt hurt Skyrim fans in the comments. Their anger and baw are like nutrients for my soul... Hehehe, no but seriously once I get my new computer for Christmas I plan to download that sucker I'm just loving all the fanboy hate. The, "those who love Zelda are stuck in the past," comments are just delicious. Talking about how Zelda is kiddy garbage when all of them are bickering like children, the Irony, it hurts sooooooooooo goooooood.

Posted Image Ghirahim is also enjoying the butt hurt.

#45390 Which Link do you think had the roughest adventure?

Posted by Garolymar on 05 December 2011 - 10:32 AM

I'm quite surprised Twilight is getting so many vote because he's turned into a wolf. You guys remember Link has been cursed with far less forgiving forms then a wolf that can devour enemies right? In A link to the past he was turned into a defenseless rabbit by the dark world that could have been easily killed and in MM he was turn into a Deku shrub who could be instantly fried by fire with his only form of attack being a snot bubble and a spin. Not to mention Midna's magic most likely alleviated any problems of getting around or attacking multiple enemies.

Not to mention Twilight Princess Link was a farm boy, he had a lot of strength to back up his character and the only really bad thing that happened to him was his friends got kidnapped and taken to a town pretty much right next store. While llia was in Hyrule castle town. The worst thing that happens to Link in that game is that he's manipulated by Midna to do her dirty work for her but by that time, the only real problem Link himself faces is that llia has a bit of amnesia. Nothing really physically or psychologically scarring happens to Link if he were real. Sure there is that scene that plays after you beat the water temple but the way Link acts to that is a little over dramatic. I never saw how transformation in Zelda games is much of a burden to anyone in the world because quite a lot of them do it frequently but that is of course all my own opinion and personally TP and Skyward Sword Link had it the easiest. Twilight Princess Link for the reasons stated above and Skyward Sword Link because he's a fledgling knight he should be ready for the stuff that awaits him and throughout most of his adventure he is never really phased by much except that one scene that I won't talk about. Again just a little surprised and curious as to why TP seems to be top choice.

#42584 Epic Fan Made Zelda Medly

Music, is really good and the scenery is just amazing. Seriously those were some really good shots from whoever was doing the camera work. The girl is really good to, her dancing around eccentrically was quite amusing.
Quite a lot of talent went into this video damn.

Side note, she's damn adorable as link and this confuses me greatly...

I really love the sax, it's such a cool instrument to listen too. On a side note, Nintendo sure likes to make Peach moan a lot. I guess you never really notice until it's in a jazzy remix.

#41398 Physical copies or downloads.

Posted by Garolymar on 09 November 2011 - 09:19 AM

So for a while now quite a few people have been saying that down the line gaming will be strictly cloud based with discs biting the dust. I don't personally believe it will come true but ya never know. And Honestly I wouldn't want the physical media part of gaming to die. I like have a bunch of cases and carts all lined up in my humble collection. I tend to appreciate downloaded titles a lot less then I do my disc and cart games. Maybe that's just me but it just feels like a real game when it comes on disc or cart that I payed 50-60 bucks for... But anyways what do you prefer. I still doubt discs will ever be gone because hell the DVD is still around even though you can buy movies by downloading but it still worries me sometimes. so yeah...

#41324 When will graphics will get photo-realistic

Posted by Garolymar on 08 November 2011 - 02:18 PM

Jeez... Can you just imagine the controversy of shooters and violent games will have to face when your mutilating photorealistic people... Those days will sure be fun now won't they? Anyways I'd take a guess at around sometime this century. that way if I am wrong I won't be around to know it. I don't really care for photorealism anyways. I don't play games to be in a realistic environment I play games to Escape realism. Give me my cartoony cel-shaded graphics and my anime inspired RPGs all day everyday and I'll be happy. But as they say different strokes for different folks. So yeah, just thought I'd chime in...

#41089 Zelda 3DS Graphics

Posted by Garolymar on 06 November 2011 - 08:21 PM

I bet they'll use the Windwaker style again, but it will probably look like it did on the Gamecube. Which in my opinion would be great, Windwaker's style is really great and it allows quite a bit of flexibility when it comes to hardware so they could no doubt match what the Gamecube was able to offer. Plus it seems to be a theme with Handheld Zelda's to use Windwaker's art to give Zelda a wider appeal. I'd just hope that for once it will be like a full 3D adventure on the handheld and not the isometric view, I loved PH and ST but Ocarina of time was great on the 3DS so a full 3D New Zelda game on the 3DS would be awesomesauce!

Edit: Also I think anything on a big screen TV looks better then on the 3DS so I doubt it will look better then Skyward sword.
